9 Christmas Dinner Outfits
Monochrome Outfit
A fail-safe outfit for any occasion is an all monochromatic look. No matter the color you choose, it’s chic and understated in a very elegant way. Pair your monochrome look with neural or metallic accessories for an easy outfit. I’m wearing an all red monochrome look consisting of a chunky red sweater with satin wide leg pants for a festive holiday look. I love the dark brown, which is trending this season, paired with the red. it keeps the look warm and cozy. My chocolate suede pumps are from my favorite shoe brand (take 15% off with TARAFHM15), and the saddle bag is from the British brand loved by Kate Middleton.
Here are some other monochrome looks you can put together for the holiday:
Casual Tweed Jacket and Jeans Outfit
Wearing a jacket or blazer with jeans is always an effortless way to dress. For the holidays, I love adding a bit of texture to an outfit with tweed or velvet. Tweed is an all season fabric. Just keep the tones darker for fall and winter. For a fun holiday look, try wearing a tweed jacket with classic black pants or keep it casual with a pair of flare leg jeans. This is a great look for more casual pre-holiday parties and dinners with friends.
Here are some other jackets and blazers to wear this Christmas season:
Christmas Dinner Outfits- Little Black Dress and Boots
A little black dress is great for any occasion. Make it a satin dress or a sweater dress and you are all decked out for the holidays. This is an easy way to dress up without having to do too much with styling. A dress is one and done. I love having a little black dress I can always reach for. For a dressier occasion, you can pair this with a great pair of pumps. I love metallic pumps for the holidays. Since I wanted this look to be a touch more casual, I’m wearing the Mila suede boots (15% off with TARAFHM15). I love these boots! They are not quite as high as knee-high boots, but are about mid calf height. They are so versatile for both dressy and casual outfits.
To add a bit more holiday glam, I’m wearing the new Bon Bon bag from everyone’s favorite the Mme Mink brand! This fun little festive bag is made from a luxurious burgundy faux fur. The circle top handles are covered in the same soft fur with an additional chain. This statement bag goes with so many outfits! You will notice I’m wearing it in several Christmas dinner looks here.
Satin Slip Skirt Outfit
A satin slip skirt is another classy choice for Christmas dinner outfits. This satin midi skirt is such a great buy right now and the quality is so good. I actually bought this in multiple colors. When you are petite like I am (I’m 5′ 2″) and the length fits you just right, you have to go for it.
Pair your satin slip skirt with a cozy sweater for all the holiday vibes. I’m wearing gold heels (similar style here) (15% off with TARAFHM15) to dress this look up, but you could easily style this with boots as well. An ivory or brown suede boot would look perfect with this!
Velvet Pants and Sweater Outfit
Lean into the icy cool tones of the winter season with shades of blue. I love spinning the holiday looks in a different way with frosty blues or an icy metallic dress. Velvet is always appropriate for the holidays. Why not try navy velvet pants this year? Navy is easily paired with lighter shades of blue, white or ivory tones, gray, or warm it up with a camel or tan top. This outfit is warm and cozy but still classic and chic.
Try adding more glamorous textures by wearing metallic woven shoes (15% off this brand with TARAFHM15) to really make this holiday look pop! You might also be interested in reading my post on how to wear velvet casually. It can certainly be worn long after the holidays are over.
Here are some other stylish velvet pants here.
Cozy Wool Mini Skirt and Chunky Sweater Outfit
Layer the textures with a wool mini skirt and chunky sweater. Keeping the look casual by wearing flat boots, this is a warm casual chic outfit. Gre
Formal Christmas Dinner Outfit
Perfect for a formal Christmas Eve dinner out, or for a holiday wedding. It’s always fun to wear a festive party dress. This midi dress is dressier then your average little black dress due to the midi length and bow details at the shoulder straps. Wear this with a cropped faux fur jacket to really elevate this holiday look!
Company Christmas Dinner Outfit
This is totally an outfit I would wear to my office Christmas party or dinner. A pair of wool pants and an embellished sweater is always an easy Christmas dinner outfit idea. It’s classy yet reserved, while still being fun! I love a little added sparkle for the holidays. Try adding a coordinating pair of metallic shoes for an extra statement. An embellished sweater also make for great outfits for new year’s eve.
Classy Cashmere Sweater Outfits
A neutral cashmere sweater like this ivory sweater, is a classic wardrobe staple. The styling options are endless. For the holidays, try adding a bit of texture to elevate your outfits. A cashmere sweater with velvet pants, or a satin slip skirt creates a cozy but festive contrast. Keep the tone more casual by opting for Mary Jane shoes or knee high boots instead of pumps.
Happy holidays! Which look is your favorite?
