New Years Eve holiday black tie outfit

3 New Years Eve Holiday Party Outfits

Looking for a New Years Eve party outfit? Traditionally, I love this holiday as an excuse to really dress up and go all out! There’s never a better time to add sequins or feathers to your party look. And doing it tastefully. Whether you are going out to a dressy holiday party, a quiet dinner, or staying in casual, I have an outfit picked out for you. Here’s my top 3 New Years Eve holiday party looks.

New Years Eve Party Outfit

I likely wouldn’t choose a full sequins dress any other time of the year, but New year’s Eve is the best excuse. For a winter party, I do love a dress with sleeves. It adds a layer against the cold, plus it’s a nice balance if you are wearing a mini dress. It keeps the look classy. This dress I’m wearing is from & Other Stories (similar version) and checks all boxes for a sequins dress. I love the subtle puffed sleeves at the shoulder, the deep v-neck (to keep things honest- I did use a safety pin to keep the v closed. This is a very deep V and I just felt it needed to be secured), and although it’s a mini, it’s not too short. Shop this look below:

Keep it elegant with a sequins top and black satin pants. I like a wider pant to keep the look elevated and classic. Stick with a simple black pump, which is a forever wardrobe staple. My favorite pumps are the Lola pumps (15% off with TARA15) which come in a great black suede, as well as several other colors. And finally, add a fun bag like this faux fur bag that is perfect for the holiday season! Shop this look:

Casually Festive Party Outfit

Casual New Years Eve outfit

A stay-at-home New Years Eve party is a fun option. Just because you are not going out, doesn’t mean you can’t get festive with your outfit. Jeans are always my go-to for a casual yet pulled together look. There are so many great jeans options out there. This season’s trend is wider leg or straight leg. I personally find bootcut jeans or flare jeans to be the most versatile and is my favorite style. Wear your favorite pair of jeans with an embellished sweater (Use code TARA20 for 20% Mestiza NY) for a cozy, but festive stay-at-home party look. And don’t forget your feet! Since you’re staying in, take advantage of the beautiful selection of slippers and mules available. I love this pair from Margaux. Shop this look:
