A Festive Holiday Party Dress

This time of year, loads of red and green clothing are popping up. Although I love a good red shoe, I always tend to favor green over red for clothing this time of year. Naturally when I was looking for the perfect holiday party dress, I looked for green. This green Saloni dress (similar here) had my eye for a while before I purchased it. It just truly checked all the boxes I was looking for. It is green, has long sleeves, is silky in texture, and is a great party dress. An unexpected detail that I actually love is that it has a hook at the v-neck so that it stays closed. Genius!

Saloni is a brand that’s always on my go-to list when looking for a party dress. Whether it is for a wedding, summer party or other type of event. They always come through. Saloni is a great for bold colors and great color mixing. This deep emerald hue is exactly what I think of when I think of a true green.

The Venue

I was able to wear this dress this past weekend for a holiday dinner event at one of my favorite restaurants in NJ! Always at the top of my list when deciding where to go out to dinner, the is housed in the historic Vail mansion. Built by Theodore Vail of AT&T in 1918, this Italian Renaissance palazzo-style mansion is a hidden gem in the city. The marble staircase and ultra modern decor contrasts the old historic charm of the building. It features 4 distinct dining concepts from fine dining, to the brasserie experience, to the beer hall. Each one is truly divine! The Washington Room however, might be my favorite. It is located at the top floor in the original living quarters of the mansion. The view is incredible as is the food! A must visit if you are in the north central NJ area. To see more photos of this venue, see my other post here.

Good food and good company is all you need for a great night out (or in!). The last thing I want to think about is what to wear. That’s why I love having great options to choose from. This dress has already come in handy for one holiday party this season. Now I’m all set for any last minute invites. In fact, this dress is versatile enough to see me through the entire Winter/Spring season. Any Springs weddings coming up? How amazing would this be paired with a pretty pastel shoe and bag! 🙂
