Holland Cooper Review

Holland Cooper is a British clothing brand rooted in classical and timeless style. I’m so happy to be partnering with them this month to showcase their British heritage collection.

The idea for the brand began on a field at the Badminton Horse Trials back in 2008 by founder Jade Holland Cooper. She had a vision for investment pieces that last forever. Not interested in trends, she designs sensible wardrobe pieces for real women that exude a luxury feeling. The result is a beautiful collection of timeless clothes that you will have in your closet for years.

Holland Cooper Coats: Review

Coats are really where the brand shine’s in my opinion. Their iconic trench coats in various materials and colors such as tweed, wool, houndstooth, and more are real investment quality pieces. Most even come in petite lengths. In addition to trench coats, Holland Cooper has a very sporty yet so sophisticated, selection of padded coats and vests. These are great for everyday wear throughout the fall and winter season. My favorites are the Grayson quilted trench coat, and the long Chamonix Coat with the detachable faux fur hood.

I’m wearing the beautiful tailored Knightsbridge coat in a UK size 6.  This classic double breasted coat features Holland Cooper’s iconic gold buttons which adds an elevated luxury feel to it. This particular style is made from 100% wool, with a satin lining. The structured shoulders adds to the more fitted look.

It’s real stunner and such a timeless coat that never goes out fashion. The Knightsbridge coat can easily take you from work to weekend with its polished and professional look. And it comes with a hanger and a Holland Cooper garment bag for storage!

Holland Cooper Sizing

Sizing runs a bit on the small side. I’m wearing a size UK 6 in the coat which is equivalent to US 2, or French 34 (however I think this UK 6 fits more like a US size 0). It is meant for a very tailored and fitted look. I could probably go up to a size UK 8 if I wanted more room. But this accommodates a light sweater underneath. The length on the UK size 6 is 36 inches. Shoulder to shoulder measures 15 inches across. If you are in-between sizes, I definitely suggest sizing up.

I have an old Burberry trench coat in a size 2 that fits pretty similar. And the fit is also very similar to the other British brand Reiss. Holland Cooper Sweaters

If sweaters are what you are looking for, Holland Cooper has a beautiful collection! They have even added their signature gold buttons to most styles. Whether you are looking for a lightweight knit, or a chunky warm sweater, there are so many classic styles to choose from.

I’m wearing the Seattle roll-neck cable knit sweater. It’s a lightweight sweater made from viscose and is perfect for layering. This is a great choice to wear under your blazers like the Knightsbridge Blazer. I’m wearing a size XS for a roomy fit.

The Cortina roll neck sweater is another favorite. It’s a chunky sweater that is soft and cozy. This is mainly a nylon/acrylic blend with only 6% wool in it. I love the cable knit design and the trademark buttons at the shoulder and wrist. The rich chocolate brown color is stunning! I have to say that I’m hooked on this brand.

Coordinating Sets

I love a good matching set! You instantly have 3 outfits out of them. Whether it’s a blazer or a coat, Holland Cooper has a matching skirt for you! Wear the look together or apart for more versatile outfit options. This is such a smart choice if your work still requires business dressing, or if you have a dressier occasion to go to. I love a wool skirt this time of year paired with knee high boots. So chic!

I’m wearing the Knightsbridge skirt in a coordinating fabric to the Knightsbridge coat. As with the coats, I think sizing is on the smaller side. I’m wearing a size UK 6 (it fits without any extra room. For reference I’m generally a size 24 in jeans, and either a size 0 or 2 in Sezane pants). The look is very tailored and so chic! If you are in-between sizes, definitely size up in this style. I absolutely love this skirt alone or with the matching coat. The double row gold rivets really make this a stand-out item. Made from 100% wool and zips in the back. I also love this skirt paired with the chunky Belgravia cable knit sweater.

If you prefer a blazer to a coat, the Knightsbridge blazer is a great coordinating choice!

Holland Cooper Boots

Holland Cooper has a very equestrian style collection of footwear. The HC gold logo is seen on most styles but is very subtly shown on the Albany knee-high boots. This suede riding boot style is great for everyday wear with its 2 cm (0.78 inch) heel height. While I love knee high boots with skirts and dresses, they are also great to pair with your skinny jeans. Keep a few of yours out for styling with these boots! However you can also wear these under your wide-leg jeans.

Sizes run in whole sizes only. I know that can be difficult for some. I generally take a size 7 in US sizes, or a 7.5 (37.5) in EU sizes. I’m wearing a UK size 5 which is equivalent to a US 7, or EU 38. The fit is so good! I have a little extra room so I think this can accommodate both a size 7 and 7.5 foot. The suede is super soft and honestly the nicest suede boots I’ve ever tried!

Holland Cooper Loafers

Holland Cooper shoes are very comfortable. I loved their boots so much that I got the driving loafers too. They have the same high quality design as the boots and offer a flexible fit. The reinforced sole has traditional grip details for sturdy walking. The soft suede is hand stitched and has the signature HC gold hardware. I’m wearing a size UK 5 for a very comfortable fit.

I’m also wearing the Natalia mini dress. Made from 82% viscose, 18% nylon, this dress is so soft and comfortable. I appreciate that the mini length is not too short, but is a nice length. The fit is also comfortable. I’m wearing a size XS. I love how this style offers little shape with its slim (but not fitted) fit.

Accessories and Bags

Belts

To finish off my look, I’m wearing the Atelier Slim logo belt in size Small. I’m so happy with this belt! The leather is soft and not stiff which makes this very comfortable to wear. The color is a light tan to perfectly match this outfit. A great neutral belt to have in your closet. If you prefer a wider belt, they also offer the HC classic belt.

Bags

Holland Cooper has an incredible selection of bags! I wanted to keep this look very refined so I chose the Chelsea Saddle bag. The shape of this bag reminds me of the Chloe Tess bag but at a much nicer price. I love the brown tones mixed with the gold HC hardware and the croc embossed leather. This is super chic and can be worn crossbody with the detachable shoulder strap.

This bag is also offered in a beautiful cream color that’s perfect for transitioning into spring or wearing with your winter whites. Add the new Abbot shoulder strap for a sporty and casual vibe.

Does Holland Cooper ship to the US?

Yes, Holland Cooper ships to the US! Shipping is free on orders over £99 GBP (which is a little over $100 US dollars depending on the daily conversion rates, which you can check here). Shipping times runs 2-5 days. You have 28 days to return items, and returns are free in the UK. Outside of the UK, returns are at your own expense. The return address is located in the FAQ section of their website, and also comes on the receipt with your order. I would suggest using and keeping your tracking information.

I should also mention that the boots, belt, and bag comes in a very pretty Holland Cooper box. So elegant that if you were giving these as a gift, no wrapping paper is necessary! The boxes are dark green with gold lettering.
