Sezane Bags Review: The Best Bags I Own + Which to Buy

I’ve been wearing Sézane for years, and their bags have always been some of my favorite pieces from the brand. Bags are my absolute favorite accessory. If I have to choose between shoes and bags, I’m choosing the bag! Over the years, I’ve owned and worn more than a dozen Sézane bags, from their classic leather styles to the raffia bags I pull out every summer. In this Sézane bags review, I’m sharing my honest thoughts on each one, including the quality, size, how I wear them, and which bags I think are most worth buying.

Are Sézane Bags Good Quality?

Yes, I think Sézane bags are good quality. This is one of the main reasons I’ve continued to buy them over the years. I own several of their leather and raffia bags, and I’ve been very happy with the quality.

The leather bags in particular feel beautiful, although some of the smoother leathers can show scratches with wear. My Milo bags have developed some scratches over time, but I don’t mind them and think they’re part of the character of a natural leather bag. I’ll share more about the quality of each bag in the individual reviews below.

Where are Sézane Bags Made?

Where Sézane bags are made depends on the style and material. Looking at the current collection, I found leather and suede bags made in both Italian and Portuguese workshops, while some of the newer canvas bags are made in China. So if where a bag is made is important to you, I recommend checking the product details for the specific style you’re considering.

My Sézane Bag Reviews

Sezane Silo Bag

The Silo bag is part of Sézane’s 2026 rebranding collection. What initially drew me to this bag was its minimal design and very vintage shoulder bag feel. It actually reminds me of the Celine Trio bag with the streamlined compartments.

The leather is buttery soft, and the bag itself has a soft, relaxed shape. I can fit my large Sezane wallet, although using a smaller wallet will get you more storage space. As well as fitting a very small make-up pouch, my phone and keys. It does hold a little more, but if you overfill it, the magnetic closure won’t stay shut.

Compared to the Milo, the Silo has slightly more depth at 6.7 x 2.2 x 9.4 inches (17 x 5.5 x 24 cm), and it’s soft, rather than structured like the Milo. The website says that both bags are the same width, but the Silo appears slightly shorter to me. Overall I really like this bag and recommend it if you’re looking for something simple and elegant without a lot of hardware.

Sezane Claude bag

The Claude bag is so good! I was initially hesitant about it and I’m not sure why. It’s a little bit smaller than the Milo, but I like that about it. Plus, it’s easier to wear as a crossbody than the Milo due to the slightly more compact size. I’m wearing the Rosewood color, which is a very neutral and wearable pink. I’m wearing it with the iconic Chlo lace top, which is my go-to top when I’m not sure what to wear.

The size of the bag is 6.1 x 7.9 x 2.6 inches (15.5 x 20 x 6.5 cm). Below is the Milo bag on the left (in Natural) and the Claude bag on the right (in Rosewood) for a size and color comparison.

The Claude bag is definitely one I reach for again and again. It’s surprising how neutral this Rosewood color is. Pair it with camel, browns, ivory, or olive tones for a beautiful all-season palette.

Sezane Milo bag

I adore the Milo bag! In fact, I own it in 3 colors. I give a brief description of it in my Full Sézane Review, but let’s dive deeper into it here. The Milo is one of Sézane’s classic leather bags and comes in so many beautiful colors. This bag is very similar in style to the Celine Classic bag, but at a much lower price point. The leather is soft and smooth just like the Celine bag.

If surface scratches will bother you, this may not be the bag for you. I have definite scratch marks on mine but it’s part of the character of a natural leather bag.

I have the Milo classic bag, but this style also comes in a mini version. The classic size is 6.7 x 9.4 x 1.8 inches (17 x 24 x 4.5 cm), and the mini size is 4.7 x 7.5 x 2 inches (12 x 19 x 5 cm). Although I love the colors offered in the mini version, that size is just too small for me. It’s smaller than the Claude bag. It’s a great date-night bag when you don’t need to carry much with you. If you like the Milo but want something a little larger, the DeMellier Vancouver Shoulder Bag has a very similar look and is really gorgeous as well.

The adjustable strap lets you wear this right under the shoulder, which is how I prefer it, or longer. I wear the Natural Heritage leather color the most, but I also own it in black. It’s a warm brown color that leans almost cognac. Overall, this is one of my favorite bags I own. It’s so timeless. Sézane Farrow bag

The Farrow bucket bag comes in leather and raffia and in several sizes. I own both the Classic and Mini Farrow in raffia, so I can compare the two below. I’m wearing the Classic size here.

The Farrow bag is an easy everyday bag. It has an adjustable leather strap and is roomy enough for all your everyday essentials plus more. It has that iconic French market-bag style that looks like something you’d carry while strolling through the Côte d’Azur markets. I have the plain raffia version, leather version, and even own the embroidered versions.

The leather ties keep the bag closed. One thing to note is that you have to untie the straps every time you want to take something out, unless you choose to leave it untied for easier access. The Classic Farrow measures 10.2 x 9 x 6.6 inches (26 x 23 x 17 cm).

Mini Farrow bag

The mini Farrow bucket bag is a cute “younger sister” of the classic Farrow bag. The smaller size makes it better suited for crossbody wearing. In fact, I used this bag every day while we were in Washington, D.C. It’s also my go-to summer street-fair bag when I only need to carry my main essentials.

The size is small but surprisingly roomy. The dimensions are 8.7 x 5.7 x 5.9 inches (22 x 14.5 x 15 cm). It also has an adjustable leather strap and tie closure. I love and use this mini bag so much that I have it in both the embroidered, plain raffia, and leather versions.

Farrow Bag Size Comparison

If you’re deciding between the Classic and Mini Farrow, the biggest difference is how much you want to carry and how you plan to wear it. The Classic is much roomier and makes a great everyday bag, while I prefer the Mini when I want a smaller crossbody bag and only need my essentials.

The Classic Farrow measures 10.2 x 9 x 6.6 inches (26 x 23 x 17 cm), while the Mini measures 8.7 x 5.7 x 5.9 inches (22 x 14.5 x 15 cm).

Here is the micro Farrow bag. The size is 6.9 x 4.7 x 7.5 inches (17.5 x 12 x 19 cm). It’s a cute size and is actually roomier than it looks. This one seems to be available seasonally.

June Raffia Basket Bag

This June basket bag was the first Sézane bag I bought, and I still love the embroidered details. Sézane has offered it in different patterns and colors over the years.

This is a large and roomy shoulder bag. You can fit a ton in this! It has an open style with no closure. Although I would prefer a magnetic closure on this, many raffia bags are left open. Since it sits on the shoulder, your arm will naturally hold it closed.

This is a great bag when you need to carry a little extra, including a water bottle. The large round size is 12.6 x 12.6 x 4.7 inches (32 x 32 x 12 cm). It’s also a perfect summer beach bag! The June is offered seasonally and returns every spring.

Sezane Isabelle Bag

The Isabelle bag is my go-to date-night bag for spring and summer. It’s a great size to hold all of your essentials. I do prefer this raffia bag for night, but if you don’t carry too much, you can certainly wear it during the day too. It’s much roomier than it appears.

The size is 6.3 x 11.8 x 3.5 inches (16 x 30 x 9 cm). It’s not a structured bag and has some flexibility to it. I also like that it has a zip closure, especially since so many raffia bags are left open.

The braided detail pairs so beautifully with the oversized link handle. It’s made from raffia in Madagascar. I always pack this bag when I go on vacation!

Sezane Justine Bag

The Justine raffia tote is one of Sezane’s most popular summer bags. It’s the one I use when I need to carry a lot. The large tote style is really roomy, while the attached internal pocket gives you a safe place to keep smaller items and valuables. This is a great “grab and go” style for everyday summer outfits.

I’m wearing the regular size, which is 9.8 x 20.1 x 7.1 inches (25 x 51 x 18 cm). There is also a Maxi version if you need even more room. I prefer the regular size for everyday use, but the Maxi is a great option for the beach or travel.

The Justine is one of those bags I pull out every summer. It’s easy to carry, holds a ton, and works just as well for everyday as it does for a day at the beach.

Older Sezane Raffia Bags I Own

Jude Basket Bag

The Jude bag is similar to the June bag above, but it’s a little larger at 14.6 x 17.3 x 13.8 inches (37 x 44 x 35 cm). And it has scallops! This bag is such a stunner. The scalloped detail really makes it stand out as one of the prettiest natural raffia bags I’ve seen.

Just like the June bag, the handles are not adjustable and the bag has an open closure. It’s also unlined. This is a great grab-and-go bag to take to the pool or when you need to carry a little more with you. I haven’t seen the Jude offered recently, but it’s one of the older Sézane raffia bags I still love.

Zina Basket Bag

It’s the little ruffle detail that does it for me on the Zina raffia bag. It’s a similar style to the Jude bag, but this one is much smaller and has a top handle. I love top-handle bags and think they are so pretty and underused. I love grabbing this one for lunch dates. It has a polished look while still being casual since it’s made from raffia.

The size is 9.8 x 9.8 x 2.8 inches (25 x 25 x 7 cm), so it holds a nice amount. This one also has an open style and is unlined. Just like the Jude bag above, the open-work details in the weaving are so beautiful. A forever bag for sure. I haven’t seen the Zina offered recently either.

Overall, Sézane bags are some of my favorite pieces from the brand. If you’re buying your first leather bag, I’d choose the Milo for something classic and structured or the Silo if you prefer a softer, more minimal shoulder bag. For summer, I reach for my raffia bags year after year.
