Loafers are a great everyday shoe. Whether for work, running errands, or lunch dates. They bring a casual yet dressed up vibe to an outfit. With so many options to choose from, I’m helping you narrow down and find the best loafer style for you!

Slouchy Suede Boots

These are your perfect slouchy boots. No need to look any further. While the stiletto type heel gives these boots a dressy vibe, the 60mm (2.25″) heel height makes these super comfortable for all day wear. Wear them with straight leg crop jeans that hit just above the top of your boot, or wear them under your flare leg jeans. Classic sneakers are always a wardrobe staple. Even if you are not working out, sneakers are needed for comfortable walking such as a day of shopping or sightseeing. While an all-white sneaker is your most versatile option, I love adding a bit of color to break up the lightness.

These classic sneakers have just the right amount of color for fall dressing. The warm tan color makes this pair perfect for wearing with brown pants and ivory sweaters. The website says they run small however I disagree. I ordered my usual size in sneakers and still feel like I have plenty of room. Oh and they are super soft and squishy inside!

Best Fall Shoes: Knee High Boots

Knee high boots are my most worn cold weather item. They do dual duty by keeping you warm and stylish. I always tend to favor leather boots over suede knee high boots for their ease of cleaning. These are great paired with midi skirts and dresses, as well as worn over your straight leg jeans.

What I look for in knee high boots is shaft height and calf circumference. The shaft height is how high the boot comes up your leg, ideally right under the knee. You can check your ideal shaft height with measuring tape. Measure from the floor to right under your knee to see the best shaft height for you. Try to stick close to this number. Calf circumference determines how tightly a boot fits around your leg. For wearing over jeans, you will want a wider fit for the best comfort. Generally, I like a more narrow calf for wearing with skirts.

1. Stuart Weitzman Yuliana has a 60mm heel height (2.4″), shaft height is 15″, and calf circumference is 14.6″. It comes in black leather and charcoal suede.
