Which M.Gemi Shoes Are Worth Buying?

After wearing three of M.Gemi’s most popular shoes, I’m sharing my M.Gemi review, how they fit, whether they’re worth the price, and which ones I’d recommend. I’m comparing the Felize, Una Loafer, and Una Flat to help you decide which pair is right for you.

My Experience with M.Gemi

My first experience with M.Gemi was actually their boots. The pair I own is no longer available, but what stood out to me immediately was how comfortable they were. Over the years, I’ve become much pickier about the shoes I buy. Beautiful design is what initially catches my eye, but comfort is what keeps me reaching for them.

If I look through my closet today, there are only a handful of shoe brands I wear consistently, and M.Gemi is one of them. I love the quality of the leather and suede, the thoughtful craftsmanship, and the fact that every pair is handmade in Tuscany, Italy.

 M.Gemi Felize Review

What first drew me to the Felize was the relaxed, casual style. I love wearing these with straight-leg jeans, pants, and even jogger sets. The Felize is a traditional moccasin-style loafer available in both pebbled leather and suede. The rubber sole gives them great traction and makes them feel a little more durable than a traditional leather-soled loafer. Out of the three M.Gemi shoes I’m reviewing today, these have the most casual feel.

I found them to be comfortable right away, and they softened even more with wear. I wore these all afternoon the first day they arrived and never thought about taking them off. These are the shoes I can just grab and go. I’m usually running around with the kids doing pick-ups and drop-offs, and these are so easy to wear because they go with so much of my wardrobe. I generally wear a size 7 or 7.5, and chose a 7.5 in the Felize. I would definitely size up if you’re between sizes. The 7.5 fits me perfectly, and I know the size 7 would have been too small. Out of the three M.Gemi shoe styles I’m reviewing today, these fit the smallest.

M.Gemi Una Loafer Review

The Una loafer has a sleeker design with an elongated toe that gives it a more polished look than the Felize. These are the loafers I reach for when I’m wearing wide-leg jeans or tailored pants because the longer toe peeks out just enough underneath the hem. I still wear them with casual outfits, but they’re the pair I choose when I want my outfit to look a little more polished without changing into heels.

I chose a size 7.5 in the Una loafer, the same size I wear in the Felize. The Felize fits slightly shorter, while the elongated toe on the Una gives you a little more room in the front of the shoe. Even after wearing them for several hours, my toes never felt cramped the way they sometimes do in pointed-toe shoes. If you’re between sizes, I’d still recommend sizing up.

The Una loafer is a little more expensive than the Felize. Are they worth the higher price? I think so. While the Felize is made from a single piece of leather that forms the upper and sole, the Una has more detailed construction with hand-painted leather soles and natural rubber inserts. Beyond the craftsmanship, they just look more refined, which is why I find myself reaching for them whenever I want my outfit to feel a little more elevated.

The Una loafer is the pair I’d recommend if you want one polished loafer that looks just as good with jeans as it does with tailored pants.

M.Gemi Una Flat Review

The Una flats feel buttery soft right out of the box. They have a more flexible fit than the Una loafer, which is a little more structured. The unstructured nappa leather molds to your foot the more you wear them, giving them a really comfortable, slipper-like feel.

I initially bought a size 7.5, the same size I wear in both loafers, but these felt a little looser because of the softer construction. I exchanged them for a size 7, and the fit is much better. If you’re between sizes, I’d consider sizing down in the Una Flat.

I think the double cross straps are what really make these stand out. They remind me of a traditional ballet slipper and give them a softer, more feminine look than a classic ballet flat. They’re also a little different from a Mary Jane, which usually has a single strap across the foot.

The M.Gemi Una Flat is probably most comparable to the Margaux Phoebe, although the Phoebe is almost $100 more. The Phoebe has a single strap, while the Una has the more distinctive double cross straps. The Una comes in so many beautiful colors, but I chose navy because it works so well with denim. Since I wear jeans so often, it gives me the look of a neutral without introducing another color into my outfit. The navy almost disappears against my jeans, so I never have to think about matching my shoes to my bag. It works with every bag color I own. These are the pair I reach for when I want my outfit to feel a little softer. I love wearing them with dresses, but they also make something as simple as a classic button-up and jeans feel a little more special.

I’d recommend the Una Flat if you love ballet flats but want something a little different from the classic styles. They’re the pair I reach for when I want to add something a little more interesting to a simple outfit.

Sizing varies slightly by style. The Felize fits the shortest, so I’d size up. I also preferred sizing up in the Una Loafer, while I found the Una Flat fit best in my usual size.

I don’t consider them shoes with built-in arch support. What makes them comfortable is the soft leather and how they mold to your feet over time. If arch support is your top priority, I’d keep that in mind.

Yes, I think M.Gemi shoes are worth the price. They aren’t inexpensive, but I think the quality, comfort, and craftsmanship justify the investment. They’re also a little less expensive than brands like Margaux, which makes them a great option if you’re looking for a beautifully made leather shoe in that same premium category. I reach for mine all the time. The best investments are the ones you actually wear.

After wearing all three styles, I’ve found that each one fills a different role in my wardrobe. If I’m getting dressed casually, I almost always reach for the Felize. When I want my outfit to feel a little more polished, I choose the Una Loafer.
