Casual Holiday Party Outfit

My Kind Of Casual Party Outfit

While big parties have their place, smaller and more casual gatherings are my favorite kind. Whether it’s hosting a night in, or heading out to a restaurant, a polished casual look will never fail you. Here’s my go-to casual party outfit. Perfect for the holiday season and beyond!

I’m wearing my trusty black pants that I wear on constant repeat. I rely on them so much. They are super flattering although run very long. I always have to have this brand hemmed, however everywhere else they fit great. Very true to size. I got this pair last year after being tired of rummaging through my closet for a pair of black pants that didn’t look like I was going to the office but also didn’t look too casual either. This really is my go-to pair. It’s a perfect base for a casual party outfit. You can really dress it up or down. I’m so happy that they bring this exact style back every year. If you are going to invest in any staple piece, have it be a great pair of black pants. It makes getting dresses so much easier when you have that faithful piece!

No party look is complete without a little glam detail. I love embellished sweaters! They look so great with jeans as well. This embellished sweater is from Ba&sh. I always look to this French brand this time of year for festive sweaters. (See last years post ). This one has pearls all over and features their signature low back. I love that unexpected detail! I have to mention as well that this sweater is so soft and cozy. Being comfortable is really important to me. I never sacrifice comfort for style. Ever!

No look is complete without accessories. I’m wearing my Chanel sling backs and Chanel bag. Two other classic items that get repeat use. You may also want to check out my Fall shoe post for the best shoe styles of the season.

Casual holiday outfitWhile this look may be on the dressier side of casual, I always follow the rule- it’s better to be over-dressed, then under-dressed. Plus it’s just what I like to wear. And that’s most important right?

Remember to find time this season to get together with your closest family members and friends. These truly are the best types of get-togethers!
