What I Love About Sezane Clothing

Sezane clothing- to me nothing says “French style” better than Sezane. Its laid back yet polished vibe encompasses the French “Je ne sais quoi”. A wardrobe complete with Sezane clothing is sure to give you that “polished yet I-didn’t-try-too-hard” type of look. Isn’t that what we all want? Sezane is one of my most worn and most asked about brands for a reason. Here’s why.

The anticipation of the latest Sezane clothing collection is always exciting. You have to move fast though because some popular items sell out in minutes! The rush to the product page and prospect of getting that coveted piece is much like playing roulette at the casino. Will it be available in my size? Will I get the last piece? And then it says the dreaded words- “In someone’s basket”. That means it’s the last piece and it’s a lottery (much like rolling the dice) of whether or not they will proceed to checkout or the item will be released back into the wild. Funny to think but it is somewhat true. I have been known to refresh a product page for 20 minutes in order to get the last piece in my size. Sometimes it works, and sometimes the article is lost forever…

I have been curating a collection of French style clothing over the last few years. You can see my previous posts featuring Sezane in this post and and in this post. As one of my most purchased brands, here’s what I really think about Sezane clothing.

Sezane Clothing Is High Quality

Sezane is a French brand with unique prints and high quality design. It’s exactly how clothing brands should be. Their curated and limited collections allow the brand to make high quality items for reasonable prices. Sezane is not a luxury brand, but I would say that they are more mid-range. The average price for a dress is around $200. Most of Sezane’s tops are made of cotton, silk, and linen, while their knits are of the softest wool blends. The pants are always tailored very well and most are lined. Sezane is my first stop when looking for pants. Truly the best you can get at these prices. If you are looking for quality fabrics, a unique print or color, and versatile pieces, Sezane is for you.

Sezane Does Floral Pants Best

Sezane does French style florals really well. They have an amazing collection of nostalgic prints that can instantly take you to a summer day in the streets of Paris. Grab an espresso and people watch at a local cafe. It really sets the mood for you. That’s what I love best about Sezane clothing. The way it makes you feel. Their designs are unique and always with a vintage flare, yet are very modern. They are effortlessly cool while being timeless staples to wear year after year.

This pair of pants I’m wearing is unfortunately no longer available. However you can always count on Sezane for having a great pair printed pants like gorgeous pair. Wear this with a white button-up shirt and the matching top, and you already have 2 easy outfits! If you prefer a more minimal look, no worries! Sezane also does plain pants extremely well too! Depending on the style of pants, the fit throughout the waist, hips, and legs is true to size, however you might need a hem if you are short like me. I would say that the fabric pants fit more true to size than the denim. For denim I would size up.

The French Top

In addition to their pants selection, I cannot resist a browse through Sezane’s blouses. Again, the quality is amazing and the price point is comfortable. And the prints! If you are looking for a colorful and unique print, this is your store. My two favorite tops are the Pierro shirt and the Chloe Shirt. Both can be worn casual or dressed up with pants or a skirt. Sezane even does white tops well. But they are anything but simple! They each have a special detail that makes them instant classics. While this white top I’m wearing is no longer available (such is the case with Sezane, you need to move quick!), the Lilo blouse is beautiful for the summer on its own, and under a cardigan in the Fall. Or try one of their beautiful lace blouses for a timeless yet vintage vibe.

Pricing is Affordable

When looking for high quality clothing, price is always an issue. You pretty much pay for what you get. With Sezane, you can expect high quality clothing with more comfortable prices. Collections are produced in smaller quantities, so there is less chance of excess waste. With less to produce, and no middleman department stores to sell through, that means better prices for you. While Sezane is not cheap, it is one of the more affordable high-quality, high-style brands around. A pair of wool blend pants will cost you $170, while a similar pair from M.M. LaFleur will cost you close to $300.
