My favorite home fabric company, Schumacher,  has a spin-off magazine called Frederic Magazine. I follow them on instagram and have been loving their home design inspiration. This is a must-read for designers and design lovers! I especially love their “Tricks of the Trade” section where top designers share their tips on everything from favorite paint colors, to how to choose a lampshade. This resource is useful for those who are thinking of redecorating, or even if you’re just there for the beautiful photos!

What to do

Home decor has been on everyone’s mind since being cooped up in our homes during the pandemic. If you have ever thought (or dreamed!) of working with your favorite designer now you can! Made easier than ever and within a reasonable budget, you can now book a one-on-one zoom call with your favorite designer to get his or her insight, guidance, and answers to your burning design questions. Made possible by The Expert, you can dodge any design mistakes before starting your project, or get second opinions on accessories. Use your time as you like! What to Wear: Coastal Grandmother Trend

Just in case you haven’t already heard of the new Coastal grandmother trend, let me fill you in. A coastal grandmother can be anyone of any age or sex. The term refers to the fashion and home aesthetic inspired by Nancy Meyers movies. Cozy knits, stripes, bucket hats, and linen pants make up this new trend that is taking social media by storm. Here are my favorite items to wear inspired by my inner coastal grandmother. I’m wearing a striped sweater dress and white cotton cable-knit from Burgess Sweaters.

What to Watch

There’s something about old movies. It’s like wrapping yourself in a cozy blanket. This month I recommend getting fully immersed in the coastal grandmother vibe. Something’s Gotta Give will be your guidebook on how to perfect this lifestyle trend. Plus, it’s a great feel good movie.
