Timeless fashion is very close to my heart. Not only is it beautiful, but also stands the test of time. Fashion is very cyclical. As the seasons come and go, so do new fashion items. It’s a never ending cycle. It’s very wasteful too. Fast fashion is at an all time high. Brands are producing more and more inventory and tempting you to shop each new collection. While fashion trends come and go with every new season, there are certain items that remain timeless. While it’s fun to shop for new pieces here and there, your money is best spent on things that will last. So today I’m sharing 10 timeless fashion pieces that transcend time and trends.

There are a few brands that I look to for high-quality blazers. My favorite cut and style is from Smythe. They get the cut just right! The super flattering duchess blazer is as classic as they come. The epitome of classic French style are ballet flats. Ballet flats will always be in style. They are such an elegant choice for wearing flat shoes. Neutral colors like black and tan will always be a perfect choice, but you can also play with textures and colors. Timeless style is about classic shapes and silohuette’s. But adding a twist such as a playful color (think red ballet flats!) or fabric can make them appear more modern.

Ballet flats are so chic when worn with cropped pants and straight-leg jeans (make sure the hem doesn’t puddle on the floor). Wear with a tank top or tee underneath a cardigan or lady jacket. I love this classic raffia style for spring into summer.

 

3. Classic Black Dress

A little black dress is always a great choice. Whether you choose a mini, midi, or maxi, black dresses are appropriate for all occasions. Choose a length you are most comfortable in. I love this black dress from one of my favorite swimwear brands. It’s versatile enough to be worn from beach to dinner. The self-tie shoulder straps, smocked bodice, and silky fabric flows into the prettiest ruffle hem. Wear this with casual slides for daytime, and gold heels for dinner. I’ve said it a hundred times! The no-fail uniform is a timeless white button-up shirt and jeans. I love this classic look for so many occasions. For running errands during the day, wear this with your classic ballet flats. For a night out, switched to classic pumps. A white button-up shirt is great for the office with a pair of tailored pants, to a picnic with shorts, and with a denim jacket for a super effortless and chic look. 5. Classic Leather Bag

A classic leather bag is as timeless as they get. This is your go-to handbag that you wear on repeat. I’m all for having variety and having a selection of handbags in your wardrobe to complete your outfits. But if you are to have only one handbag, make it a high quality leather bag that you will have for years. You can choose to invest in a vintage luxury bag (all of my Chanel bags except for one, is pre-owned), or buy a new classic such as the Toteme T Lock bag. Although this is a new and trending bag, it has all signs of a classic bag in the making. For one, it is minimal with its sleek T lock hardware. This is a bag that will not be outdated and can be worn for so many occasions.

For the most timeless choice, choose a mid to full-length trench coat over a cropped style which tends to be more trendy. Choose camel or khaki colors for the most traditional look, or other neutrals such as black and gray.
