PAIGE Jeans Review of Popular Styles

I’ve been wearing PAIGE jeans for well over a decade, so this PAIGE jeans review is based on years of personal experience with the brand. They were the first premium denim brand I ever bought, and they’ve consistently been one of the brands I reach for most. Over the years I’ve owned everything from bootcut and skinny jeans to wide-leg and straight-leg styles. At 5’2″, I’ve also tried both their regular and petite lengths, and one thing has stayed the same: they fit beautifully and they’re incredibly comfortable.

In this PAIGE jeans review, I’m sharing the styles I’ve personally worn, how each one fits, whether PAIGE jeans run small or large, which styles work best for petites, and whether I think they’re worth the investment. If you’re trying to decide between popular styles like the Anessa, Mason, Leenah, or Laurel Canyon, I’ll help you figure out which pair might work best for you.

PAIGE Jeans Review

I’ve owned quite a few PAIGE jeans over the years. Some of my older favorites have since been discontinued, but for this review I’m focusing on the styles you can still buy today, along with a few discontinued pairs that are worth looking for secondhand or comparing to current styles.

PAIGE Petite Jeans

PAIGE offers petite sizing for women 5’4″ and under. Being 5’2″ and having to tailor my jeans for decades, I really appreciate this. In addition to shorter inseams, PAIGE also adjusts the knee placement so the jeans fit and drape better on a petite frame.

I almost always recommend buying the petite version when it’s available. The only exceptions are a few styles where I actually prefer the standard length for a longer, more elongating look, which I’ll point out throughout this review.

PAIGE Brand

I always enjoy learning about the brands I wear because it gives me a better understanding of what they’re trying to create. PAIGE was founded in 2004 by former fit model Paige Adams-Geller, and I think that background shows in the jeans. Comfort and fit have always been the brand’s focus, which is probably why I’ve continued buying PAIGE for well over a decade. Their motto, “Great fit never goes out of style,” couldn’t be more true.

Paige Anessa Wide-Leg Jeans Review

I’ve owned the Anessa jeans for several years now, in different washes, and it’s still the pair I reach for most often. If someone asked me which PAIGE jeans to buy first, this is the style I’d recommend.

One of the reasons I think the Anessa works for so many women is that it comes in multiple inseam lengths in both standard and petite sizing. Whether you prefer a cropped look or a full-length wide leg, there’s a good chance you’ll find an option that works without needing alterations.

Both pairs I’m wearing here are the petite 28″ inseam. Even though I’m 5’2″, I actually prefer the longer length with this style because I think it creates a more flattering, elongated silhouette. If you’re petite and prefer your jeans to hit at the ankle, the shorter 25″ petite inseams are a great option.

As for how the PAIGE Anessa jeans fit, I find they run a little big. I tried both my usual size 24 and a 23, and while both fit, I preferred the 23 for a more secure fit. These jeans have quite a bit of stretch, so if you’re between sizes, I recommend sizing down. Among the current PAIGE styles in this review, the Anessa is the only one I consistently find runs a little large.

Paige Leenah Jeans Review

Compared to the Anessa, the Leenah has a slightly lower rise and a longer inseam. Even the petite version has a 30″ inseam, so I think it looks best with a heel.

I usually reach for the Leenah jeans when I’m going out to dinner or want my outfit to feel a little dressier. The longer length works really well with heels and gives your legs a nice long line. The Anessa is a little more versatile because I can wear it with either flats or heels, but for an evening out, I usually choose the Leenah. I find the Leenah runs true to size and wear my usual size 24.

If you’re deciding between the Anessa and Leenah, here’s how I think about it: I wear the Anessa for everyday because it works with flats or heels. I reach for the Leenah when I know I’ll be wearing heels and want a dressier look.

Paige Sawyer Jeans

2026 Update: PAIGE no longer makes the Sawyer. If you’re shopping for a similar style today, I’d recommend the Mason jeans, which has a similar classic straight-leg fit. I share more on that style below.

If you can still find the Sawyer, it’s one of my favorite straight-leg jeans PAIGE has made. It has an easy, effortless fit that looks especially good with feminine tops. I loved wearing mine with lace tops or pretty blouses because the relaxed fit kept the outfit from feeling too dressy.

I’m wearing the Sawyer Petite with the 27.5″ inseam, which fit my 5’2″ frame perfectly. I also found this style ran a little large, so I sized down for the best fit.

Paige Mason Jeans

If you’re looking for a straight-leg jean from PAIGE, the Mason is the style I’d recommend. The fit is relaxed enough to be comfortable, but still looks polished.

I’m wearing the Mason Petite, and the length is exactly what I want on my 5’2″ frame. It’s one of those jeans I can wear with flats and not worry that the hem will drag on the floor. I find the Mason runs true to size and would recommend ordering your usual size.

If you’re considering the Mason and Cindy, the Cindy has a more classic, slim fit, while the Mason is a little more relaxed. If you like your jeans to feel less structured, I’d choose the Mason. Personally, I find it more comfortable for everyday wear.

Paige High-rise Laurel Canyon Jeans

I’ve had my Laurel Canyon jeans for years, and they’re one of those styles that never really go out of style. The slim fit through the hips and thighs with the subtle bootcut is flattering without feeling too trendy.

I usually wear mine with ballet pumps or low heels, but they also look great with ankle boots or heeled sandals. If you like a jean that’s a little more fitted than a wide-leg style but still has some shape at the hem, I think the Laurel Canyon bootcut is a great choice.

When I bought mine, PAIGE didn’t offer a petite version, so I trimmed the raw hem myself to get the perfect length. I’ve washed them countless times over the years, and whenever the frayed hem gets a little too long, I simply trim it again. Today, PAIGE offers the Laurel Canyon in petite sizing, which makes finding the right length much easier.

I find the Laurel Canyon runs true to size.

PAIGE Crop Jeans

Cropped PAIGE jeans are a great style for petites because they hit right at the ankle without needing alterations. They’re easy to wear with ballet flats, loafers, sandals, or sneakers, making them one of the most versatile styles for petites.

I especially like the raw hem because it gives the jeans a more relaxed look. Since cropped jeans naturally show more of your shoes, I usually wear mine with flats or low heels rather than higher heels. I think the proportions just work better that way.

The PAIGE Jeans I Recommend Most for Petites

After wearing PAIGE for over a decade, these are the styles I’d recommend most for anyone, but especially for petites.

• Best wide-leg with heels: Leenah Petite
• Best straight-leg: Mason Petite
• Best bootcut: Laurel Canyon Petite
• Best cropped: Any current cropped PAIGE style with a 25–26″ inseam

Are PAIGE Jeans Worth It

PAIGE jeans are definitely more expensive than brands like Madewell, J.Crew, or Gap, but I think they’re worth the investment. I’ve been wearing PAIGE for well over a decade, and they’re one of the few denim brands I continue to buy because the fit is consistently flattering and they’re comfortable from the very first wear.

Compared to Mother jeans, I find PAIGE has a softer feel and more classic lines. Mother jeans have a more structured, vintage-inspired feel. If you’re trying to decide between the two, I share a more details in my Mother Jeans review.

Another reason I keep coming back to PAIGE is the quality. Several pairs in this review are years old, and they’re still in my closet today. They hold their shape well, wash well, and don’t feel like they’ve gone out of style after a season or two.

PAIGE uses several different denim fabrics, including Transcend, Transcend Vintage, and PAIGE Vintage. If comfort is your top priority, I especially like the Transcend denim because it’s incredibly soft with plenty of stretch. Transcend Vintage has a similar feel with a more lived-in look, while PAIGE Vintage has a more authentic denim feel that’s still comfortable from the first wear.

PAIGE Jeans FAQ: Fit, Sizing & Petite Questions

Do PAIGE jeans run small?

Overall, I find PAIGE jeans run true to size, with one exception. The Anessa has more stretch than the other styles I’ve worn, so I sized down for the best fit. Every other current PAIGE style in this review fits true to size.

Which PAIGE jeans are best for petites?

If you’re petite like I am (I’m 5’2″), I recommend starting with the Anessa Petite if you want wide-leg jeans, or the Mason Petite if you prefer straight-leg. I also love the Laurel Canyon Petite if you’re looking for a bootcut style. PAIGE’s petite line isn’t just shorter, it also adjusts the proportions like knee placement, to fit a shorter frame better.

Do PAIGE jeans stretch out?

Most PAIGE jeans have some stretch, but I haven’t found that they lose their shape throughout the day. The Anessa is the stretchiest style I’ve worn, which is why I sized down. The other styles have held their shape well after repeated wear.

Which PAIGE jeans should I buy first?

If you’re only buying one pair, I’d recommend the Anessa. It’s the style I wear most often because it works with both flats and heels and is easy to dress up or down. If you prefer a straight-leg jean, I’d choose the Mason.

Are PAIGE jeans good quality?

Yes. One of the reasons I’ve continued buying PAIGE for more than ten years is the quality. My older pairs have held up well through regular wear and washing, and I still wear most them today.
