6 Stylish Thanksgiving Outfits

Let’s break this down by outfit. Here I’m sharing my favorite looks for comfort and of course style.

Slip Skirt and Sweater

This has to be my favorite Fall/ Winter combo. A slip skirt and chunky sweater like a turtleneck are so classy. There’s something very casually chic yet polished about this look. You can wear this as a monochrome look as I’m wearing, or mix it up with a neutral top or bottom. I love this warm cinnamon color for Thanksgiving dinner. It gives me pumpkin spice vibes. Pair this look with knee high boots for warmth and effortless style.

Matching Top and Skirt Set

I do love a matching set. You can read more about how I like to style matching sets in my previous blog post. For this Fall outfit, I’m wearing a monochromatic matching sweater set. I love how the rich green color really stands out and is so festive for this time of year. This set is great because it’s made from a nice soft wool. In addition, the fit and flare style of the sweater skirt is so feminine. Plus the matching top is a great piece to wear on it’s own with jeans or pants. Wearing a matching set together keeps the look minimal yet elegantly impactful. But I also the option of mixing and matching.

Thanksgiving Outfits: Plaid

Plaid is such a fall/winter print! I love this fringe plaid blanket skirt for all fall occasions. This thick wool blend makes this skirt so cozy for colder days. Pair it with knee-high boots to keep your full leg warm. This skirt really is amazing! The easiest pairing for a skirt like this is a neutral slim sweater. You can go for a slightly oversized sweater, however I love a slim fit sweater to contrast with the thicker wool on the bottom. Plus it’s easy to tuck in!

Thanksgiving Dinner Sweater Dress

A Sweater dress is always cozy yet is super stylish. These can be tricky though. Especially for Thanksgiving outfits. Choose a thicker wool dress so that it will lay nicely over your body. A thin knit sweater dress will show every curve and bulge you have. Plus a thicker dress is more comfortable and can be easily styled with a belt to help define the waist.

Classic Blazer and Jeans

Pink blazer and flare jeans outfit

Wearing a blazer is to Fall as peanut butter is to jelly. They just really go together. A blazer is great for cooler weather as your outerwear, but just as great for wearing in colder weather. Just layer a coat over it. A classic blazer pairs so well with jeans I love this season’s flare jeans for a modern update on the look. Wear this with ankle boots or loafers.

When choosing a blazer, if you are going for an investment piece, because blazers can get expensive, choose a neutral color like navy, brown, or black. But if you are going for a fun and more affordable option, have fun with the color! I love this pink blazer for an unexpected yet fresh take on cozy fall vibes. It brightens up a dreary fall day and is so festive as for Thanksgiving dinner outfit!
