Thanksgiving is quickly approaching. I know sometimes it seems like we go right from Halloween to Christmas! But let’s not forget about Thanksgiving. I remember in grade school, Thanksgiving seemed like a whole season. We made lots of artwork with turkeys and pumpkins. Now it just seems rushed. I’m taking the approach of slowing down this season, baking some pumpkin desserts, putting on the fire, and figuring out my Thanksgiving dinner outfit!

I’ve pulled together some of my more casual (but still elegant) outfits to inspire you this Thanksgiving holiday. Overall, Thanksgiving is a bit more laid back and casual. I like to do casual a bit dressier than most, but still very comfortable and easy to pull together. Here are 10 casual outfits to inspire you this Thanksgiving.

Lady Jacket and Jeans Outfit

Lady Jackets, aka the sweater jacket, are such a timeless wardrobe option. They give you an elevated and polished look whether you wear them with pants or jeans. To keep this look casual, pair your favorite lady jacket with your favorite jeans. I’m really loving the wide leg jeans this year. They give off such an effortless vibe. I find these wide leg jeans to be the most flattering style.

 

Floral Dress with Boots

A floral midi dress is always a good idea. I like to wear them with knee high boots, especially in the Fall. It makes the whole look more casual and effortless. This is my go-to Thanksgiving dinner outfit. I pretty much wear a midi dress and boots every single year. Plus I love wearing long sleeves for the colder season.

 

Cargo Pants Outfit

Cargo pants are trending this season! To keep the look from being too casual, pair your cargo pants with a cable knit sweater. You can add a pair of classic pumps to dress it up even more, or wear comfortable loafers.

 

Corduroy Dress with Boots

Fall is the best time to wear corduroy. It’s a softer alternative to jeans. I love the mini or knee length dress versions for pairing with boots. What’s more fall than a dress with boots? Plaid Pants Outfit

Plaid pants are so fall! I love almost every style of plaid. Wearing plaid pants is always a conversation starter since they are a bit unexpected. I think they are very under rated. Having a plaid print on the bottom allows you to wear a simple top without being boring. Boots or loafers are my shoe of choice when it comes to styling plaid.

 

Midi Dress and Sneakers Outfit

A midi dress and sneakers is a year-round effortless look. I love white sneakers since they go with everything, however if you have a little color in your sneakers, make sure you have that same color somewhere else in your outfit. It can be a color in the print of the dress, a belt, or your bag. It really helps to pull the whole look together.

 

Classic White Shirt and Jeans Outfit

When in doubt, you can never go wrong with a classic white button down shirt and jeans. This is my go-to when I don’t know what else to wear. Dress it up with pumps or heeled boots, or keep it as a casual Thanksgiving dinner outfit with loafers or sneakers. I’m wearing my favorite button-down shirt which I own in several colors. Midi Skirt and Boots

Instead of a midi dress, try wearing a midi skirt with a cozy sweater for warm yet elegant vibes. I’m wearing slouchy boots to keep the look even more casual. You can also wear a midi skirt with your classic white top for a more pulled together look. I love to feel comfortable so an oversized sweater also works great with a skirt.

 

Casual Corduroy Pants Outfit

Everyone should have a pair of corduroy pants. I love wearing corduroy pants in the fall and winter season because they are softer than jeans, and can be dressed up. They are slightly less casual than jeans but are a perfect alternative. To keep the look casual chic, wear them with pumps or heeled ankle boots. You can also wear loafers and sneakers for even more casual comfort. A great fall fashion look!

 

Polo Sweater and Black Pants Outfit

Polo sweaters are a classic style that’s really trending this season. Pair it with a pair of black pants for a quiet luxury vibe. This minimal look is so comfortable and chic.
