This helps to break up where the jeans end and your shoes start.

I find that although the Adidas Samba is so comfortable, the sizing is tricky. They run oversized. I took a full size down in mine. Plus they are always sold out. You have to catch them quick or you miss them.

Avoid tall boots when styling straight leg jeans. A straight leg style is a bit wider than skinny jeans, so they won’t lay nice inside the boots. If you want to wear your knee-high boots over your jeans, break out those skinny jeans you put away last year!

Ankle Boots For Straight Leg Jeans

Chelsea boots or western inspired boots have a chunkier heel which is great for casual jean outfits. The block heel makes it comfortable enough for daytime while giving you an elevated look. When wearing ankle boots with straight leg jeans, keep the hem in mind. Some people swear by wearing cropped  jeans so that the ankle peeks out just a bit at the top of the boots. I personally prefer the hem to hit right before the curve where the foot starts. I think it helps to elongate the leg and give a more polished overall look.
