Grayson Hero Shirt

They don’t call it the Hero shirt for no reason. A classic white button-up shirt is a timeless closet staple that transcends the seasons. Wear it tucked, knotted or half tucked; Over a cami, or under a cardigan; sleeves rolled up or down. The Grayson hero shirt goes well with skirts, shorts, jeans, and suiting. A true closet hero for every closet this season!

I love to throw on a button-up shirt to get me feeling polished for the day. It’s an easy outfit when you need to get dressed quickly but still want to look stylish. Not only is it great for early school runs, lunch dates, and running errands, but it is also the perfect work from home shirt. The top half says office, while the bottom half can be anything you want it to be. Throw on some leggings and slippers and you are comfortable yet chic.

The Fit

Grayson makes some of the best cotton and linen shirts in my opinion. But what I love best about the Grayson Hero shirt, is the fit. It is not too bulky or boxy, but is fitted in a comfortably relaxed and stylish way. They have a nice deep neck (but not too deep), that keeps their shirts looking current and fresh. And they are machine washable. A huge plus for me!

Sizing runs from numeric values of 01- 05 (equivalent to XS- XL). The range within that is pretty generous. For example, I wear a size 01 in all Grayson (I’m 5’2″, 105 lbs). Size 01 fits those in a weight range of about 100- 115 lbs (equivalent to XS). Size 02 is best for those with a weight range from 115- 125 lbs (equivalent to size S), and so on. That means if you are on the lower edge of your size range, this will have a more relaxed fit for you.

Grayson Hero Shirt Fabrics

No matter your fabric preference, Grayson has a shirt just for you. I am wearing the Hero shirt in linen. I love linen for its breathability. If you are one to get hot often, linen is right for you. The is my closet staple for pairing with shorts on a cool summer night, or with jeans and a great bag on a breezy Fall day.

Grayson also offers cozy cotton (their softest cotton), tissue cotton (lightweight), washed cotton (with subtle texture), and denim cotton. In addition they offer flannels in both plain and printed styles. The liquid flannel is my favorite for it’s soft and silky texture. They also carry plush flannel (soft, cozy, and warm!), and feathered flannel (mid-weight). All perfect for the colder seasons.
