Christy Lynn Spring 2021

Christy Lynn Clothing Brand

Christy Lynn is a clothing brand that I am all about right now! Designed in Texas, and made in Brooklyn, NY, Christy Lynn is dream worthy! Think timeless, classic styles, that are both modern and romantic. A brand for the woman on the go that exudes effortless style along the way!

Established in 2019, the Christy Lynn brand is fairly new, however Christy Lynn herself has a long history in fashion. A graduate of Rhode Island School of Design, Christy spent over a decade in the NYC fashion industry, working alongside Nanette Lepore, Catherine Malandrino, and Elie Tahari, before moving to Texas and launching her namesake brand.

Christy Lynn is a slow fashion brand. Not trend-driven, her collections are thoughtful and intentional. You will find quality over quantity. And that’s what slow fashion is all about. It’s about investing in quality pieces that are artistically designed and created, rather than the trend of the moment. Most importantly, her pieces will remain relevant throughout the years. And that’s money well spent.

Each season, Christy Lynn’s carefully selected fabrics create the entire mood for the collection. Christy’s selection of fabrics is always on-point. I am a big fabric person. I love lots of detail, colors, and textures. My closet is a mix of calm and serene whites and beiges, along with bold colors, patterns, and textures. I love to dress for my mood. Or vice versa even. Sometimes my choice of dress changes my mood. Christy Lynn clothing has a playful elegance that sparks immediate joy.

The Christy Lynn Spring Collection

The Spring 2021 collection is inspired by the French new wave era (read about her latest Spring collection here). Did you know that it is one of the most influential movements in cinematic history? It paved the way for modern independent film-making, emphasizing the creative, personal, and playful aspects to story-telling. Many fashion icons are part of the French new wave movement, like Brigitte Bardot, Catherine Deneuve, and Anna Karina. This collection is definitely French film icon worthy.

The Audrey Dress

I am wearing two of my favorite pieces from the Christy Lynn clothing Spring collection. First is the Audrey dress (here’s a beautiful alternative). A romantic etched floral, designed by Christy’s talented sister. This dress has me thinking of gardens on a sun drenched day. A long walk through a maze of shrubs and flowers. The sounds of the birds high in the tress. The walk ending on a patio set for lunch with friends. The cotton sateen fabric and puff sleeves, combined with the floral design is the epitome of feminine style. Note that this dress is made 5 inches loner to allow you to hem to your desired length. Oh and it has pockets!

The Christy Lynn Cathrine Dress

Next, is the Catherine Dress. This updated safari silhouette is effortless chic at it’s best (here’s a similar embroidered linen version)! This is a true day to night dress. I love how you can make it casual with a pair of leather flip-flops, or dress it up with some heels. The beautiful Italian striped chambray inspired me to pair this look with blue accessories matching the mood of an Italian coastline. The bright blue against the beige cotton/linen blend, has me wanting an espresso on a Mediterranean terrace over-looking the sea.

Christy Lynn: The Jacqueline Dress

This next dress is just stunning! It’s definitely on my wishlist. The Jacqueline dress is as feminine and romantic as you can get. The bold coral hue combined with a subtle plaid texture is so charming. The unexpected open back is modern and sexy, while still being timeless and classy. I can see this cotton/silk dress being worn to a summer wedding that lasts well into the evening. The Isabel dress is the brand’s current season show-stopper!

The Marie Top and Abby Skirt

Linen outfit

This next look that I’ve chosen to highlight is actually a matching set. The Marie top and Abby skirt are so sweet when worn together (I love this current season’s top). But what is best about sets is the ability to wear them as separates as well. One outfit now becomes three! This airy linen look has puffed sleeves, fringed lace, and a smocked waist. I can see this worn to the Farmer’s market during the day, and to a dinner date at night.

Christy Lynn Classics

The Classics

And finally, you can always find Christy Lynn’s classic pieces that are staples to the brand. While the seasonal collections sell-out, these classics are brought back to enjoy. The Valencia dress in black, is made in cotton/linen embroidery. Truly stunning to look at, and even more so in person! The Valencia dress is on my list as a must-have for summer (and well beyond!).

Christy Lynn Clara blouse

In addition to the these beautiful dresses that can be worn day to night (I love Christy’s use of them here as a swimsuit cover-up!), a blouse version is also available. The Clara blouse was my first introduction to Christy Lynn clothing that I purchased last Spring. It hooked me in as a true convert to the line. The embroidered floral detail is amazing and the quality is by far the best I’ve seen. It really is my favorite item in my closet.

As you can see, Christy Lynn clothing is full of feminine style that is both timeless and modern. Her careful selection of fabrics, sustainable practices, and preference for quality over quantity, makes Christy Lynn a brand to keep on your radar (and in your closet!). Let me know which outfit is your favorite!
