Burgess Sweaters Spring Collection

I’m excited to introduce you to Burgess sweaters today. Burgess sweaters is a female owned company that was created out of a passion for cozy and luxurious sweaters. Cathy Burgess founded Burgess sweaters in 2017 in her hometown of Newport, RI. Inspired by her hometown, as well as travel memories from the beach to the mountains, Cathy set-out to create a luxurious sweater collection for the modern woman. Today I’m sharing with you a little about the brand, and a few of my favorite pieces from the Spring 2022 collection.

Sustainable Cotton

Burgess sweaters are consciously made with sustainable and responsible yarns that are part of the Better Cotton Initiative. This initiative puts the farmers and environment first. Better cotton production results in is a luxurious fabric that is good for you and the environment. Burgess uses cotton blends to keep the softness and coziness levels high. Plus, cotton is such a beautiful fabric to wear and is so nice against the skin.

Let’s dive into a few of my favorite pieces from the Burgess Spring collection. I love a good cable knit sweater! They really are the easiest top to style and give all the cozy vibes. As soon as I saw the Jane Cable Crewneck, I knew this would be a Spring staple. Coming in a variety of colors, I chose the Sable as a good neutral sweater is essential to any woman’s wardrobe. The detail of the cable knitting is really beautiful. I love the texture against this soft neutral. I have to say, this is one of the softest sweaters I own. It’s truly a beautiful piece!

I love to style a cable knit with a simple pair of jeans for an effortless daytime look. It’s always a go-to classic choice. Alternatively, you can pair this with a midi skirt for an elevated and polished look. This sweater is the perfect weight and softness to carry you through the seasons. This is one you will reach for time and time again!

The Travel Coat

Crisp Spring days and nights need a touch a coziness and warmth. The travel coat is the perfect companion to take with you on your travels in and out of town. I love that this can be worn for a casual day out styled with jeans, or dressed up with a belt for a chic evening look. Made from 95% cotton, 5% cashmere, this soft and luxurious coat is so versatile.

This bright Spring hue will carry through to summer. The pop of orange against an all white outfit is so chic! Coming in neutrals as well as some bright hues, this coat is a great Spring companion. I know I always need a light layer on those cool summer evenings. This is a great choice for adding a touch of warmth and a soft layer.

Sweater Dress

An easy sweater dress gives me all the Spring vibes. I love these “one and done” options for on-the-go effortless looks. This Trixie dress is super soft and elegant. I love the easy style for casual Spring days. Pair this with anything from sneakers, sandals, or pumps. I’ve added a straw bag with a touch of gingham for a happy beach vibe.

What’s great about this sweater dress is that you can wear it loose or add a belt for a different look. It’s an easy way to change your look depending on your mood. The fit is true to size. I’m wearing an XS, as I am in all Burgess pieces I’ve shown here today.
