Summer’s best dresses happen to have one thing in common. They are all yellow! Being such a happy color that looks great on all skin tones, I’ve put together my yellow dress round-up. Whether you are looking for a dress for an event, a wedding, everyday wear, or work, there is a yellow dress for you!
Yellow is most associated with happiness and friendship. I remember in my pre-teen years reading somewhere that if a boy gives you a yellow flower it means friendship, where a red flower means love. Well I don’t know about that, those teen magazines were fun, but yellow does give out some cheery vibes. So the next time you are feeling blue, trying wearing yellow to lift your mood.
This yellow dress from Ann Taylor instantly grabbed my attention. I love prints and this one has so many pretty colors in it. My rule of thumb is, the more colors, the more styling options! This maxi dress gives me strong vacation vibes. To enhance that feel, I added my favorite of the season. I love PVC bags as a no fuss option. If anything gets on it or in it, it is an easy clean up. Perfect if you have kids with sticky fingers! I kept the shoes with the color theme because let’s face it, these Chanel shoes need to be worn as much as possible to make the cost per wear worth the investment! Any white shoe will look great with a yellow dress. It’s a perfect complement to let the dress speak for itself.
