What to Read
I just finished reading The Riviera House. It’s a big one (450 pages) but I got through it quickly because it was so good! It’s a bit of mystery with flashes from past to present. Taking place in my favorite city of Paris, and in an inherited house on the French Riviera. Not to give too much away, the setting is in World War II Paris where the most infamous art theft took place. This gives a little bit of history and adds a story to how this grand theft happened, and how it affected the main character in present day. I don’t usually gravitate towards books with WWII settings as they are a sad time in history. This book however was so well written and a great read!
What to Watch
Celebrity stylist, Kate Young, is hosting a class in fashion on her YouTube channel titled “Hello Fashion”. Kate has dressed Hollywood’s most stylish A-listers from Margot Robbie, to Selena Gomez, to Dakota Johnson. I love Kate’s down to earth attitude along with her insight into the Must-Have Stylist Essentials, and her take on the history of the iconic Louis Vuitton brand. This is a great, light series to watch if you are into gaining fashion tips from one of the greats!
What to Wear
This week’s feature is the Balance dress. I love this easy throw on style. Especially for rushing out the door in the morning. I opted for the regular size rather than my usual petite size for a few extra inches on the length. I love this dress for school drop-offs, walking the dog, and grocery store stops.
I’ve been wearing the Balance dress with my Isabel Marant sneakers. These are a splurge but I got them at the recent Farfetch sale! They are truly a comfortable sneaker for being so stylish. Isabel Marant is the epitome of effortless French style. I feel that these sneakers really do elevate any casual look (similar and more affordable here).

Get your Halloween haunt on! This hotel is set in the heart of a dark time in American history. Previously being a home, a tavern, and a rare book shop, this intimate hotel is located in the heart of Salem, Massachusetts’ historic district. Home to the infamous Salem Witch trials, this city is steeped in history. The Merchant hotel not only offers historical tales of it’s own, but you can also register via the site to make your own broom at the Witchery.
