Quince Clothing Review: Timeless Elegance and Style
If you love timeless and elevated style but do not love the prices associated with most of those brands, Quince is the clothing brand for you! If you are not familiar with Quince, they are sustainable fashion brand that combines classic sophistication with modern style. It’s an under the radar brand that I’ve loved for years. You can always count on Quince for understated yet refined wardrobe essentials like luxurious cashmere sweaters to exquisite silk shirts. What I love most about them is that they are very luxe, with very affordable prices. Almost unheard of! Today I will be sharing insights on some of Quince’s best cashmere and silk styles and the reason that they are so affordable, in this Quince clothing review.
Quince Clothing Review
Let’s talk about quality in this Quince clothing review. When I think of Quince, I immediately associate them with beautiful cashmere sweaters and silk essentials. I have several of their silk slip skirts that have been cold-weather staples of mine for years. They have the perfect balance of price, quality, and fit. You might be very surprised to see their prices, and wonder if the quality holds up. I can tell you it does.
You may recognize this outfit form my classy ways to style navy blue post. It’s one of my favorite outfits for fall. I featured it last year too on my instagram. The monochrome cashmere sweater and silk skirt combo is as timeless and as elegant as you can get. Both from Quince and at amazing price points!
Sustainability
Quince understands the importance of sustainability and ethical production. Their commitment to sourcing high-quality materials ensures longevity and durability, reducing the need for frequent replacements. Plus they keep their collections timeless and quite simple. They do not produce products based on trends that don’t last. They focus on a core collection of elegant and understated pieces, while updating it with seasonal colors.
Factory-Direct Price Model
Their factory-direct price model helps us save money. They ship directly from the factory that produces their items. By cutting out middlemen and selling directly to customers online, Quince is able to offer premium clothing at affordable prices. This is the key takeaway- they sell direct to consumers. There is no mark-up in prices. Since there is no middleman taking a cut, their is no price mark-up. With the addition of minimal packaging, they are able to save us even more! I mean, $50 cashmere sweaters? I admit, I was skeptical myself at first. Thinking it can’t be great quality right?
Is Quince Good Quality?
Contrary to what you might think, higher prices does not always mean higher quality. In some cases, yes, but fashion in general has a huge mark-up. Quince has surprised me with their affordable prices and high-quality designs. I’ve been a customer for years because of it. I store my sweaters in these storage bins which fit right under the bed. It’s kept my sweaters in great shape during the summer months when I pack them away. Being a repeat customer I can say yes, Quince is good quality. I wouldn’t share it here if I didn’t think it was.
Quince Cashmere Review
I think that Quince cashmere is right up there with some of the best high-end cashmere brands. I’m a huge lover of cashmere. It’s my preferred fabric for winter. It’s soft, cozy, and super warm. My closet has a range of high-priced cashmere pieces from favorite brands like Jenni Kayne and Vince. Quince really fits nicely into this bucket. While I have several Quince cashmere sweaters and skirts from years ago that are still holding up great, they just recently elevated their cashmere even more!
New for this fall season, Quince has taken their cashmere up a notch! They have enhanced their yarn tension, offering a thicker and cozier feel. Quince has also improved upon their advanced pilling resistance. Now, if you know cashmere, you know cashmere pills. Even the best of the best brands. It’s just how it is. But Quince has worked to improve and reduce this in their new cashmere line.
I have two new cashmere sweaters from this new line. They feel super luxe and soft. Their most popular cashmere sweater is the classic crewneck. I have it in the new color moss (I’m really loving these mossy green this season!). And an ivory v-neck sweater. Two timeless pieces you can wear in so many ways.
Quince Vs Jenni Kayne Cashmere
I hate to compare two brands I love, but I think it’s important for this Quince clothing review. Especially if you are not familiar with Quince. I’ve taken two fisherman style sweaters to compare. Once from Quince, and the other from Jenni Kayne. They look almost exact. They feel almost exact. Here are the main differences between the two brands.
First, Jenni Kayne is known for their lofty and luxe cashmere. I think most of the sweaters they offer are a little bit thicker, and overall have a more relaxed vibe, but are just as soft as Quince. The Fisherman sweater style is my favorite. I love the relaxed but elevated vibe. It’s relaxed in all the right places and looks very polished. The fisherman styles (Quince style and Jenni Kayne style) are very similar across the two brands, as are the v-neck and crewneck sweaters. There is not too much difference as far as feel and thickness goes for both styles. They run pretty much the same. The Quince Fisherman style has slightly wider arms. As far as the crewneck and v-neck styles across the two brands, they are very similar.
When deciding between the two, I think it really depends on what look and feel you are going for. And of course price! They offer different enough styles to justify having both in your closet. I love Jenni Kayne for their unique styles like this gorgeous cardigan. They are great when you crave a cozy sweater that will keep you warm. On the other hand, Quince is a great choice for your classic sweaters that you can wear from work to weekend. They are also great for layering!
Quince Silk – it’s washable!
Another Quince favorite is their washable silk line! This is great if you still dress for the office and like to wear silk shirts with trousers. Another personal favorite of mine is their silk skirts. I have several of these in various colors. Being petite (I’m 5’2″), the Quince skirts hit at a good length. They are midi skirts that are actually midi length. For taller ladies, they also have maxi length silk skirts.
When it comes to wearing silk, I’ll admit it’s not a fabric I reach for a lot. Mainly because it requires such care. But with Quince silks, I don’t worry about it and feel confident wearing them. You can wash your silk in the delicate cycle (just don’t use hot water), and lay flat to dry.

Quince Linen Clothing
For summer months and mid-winter travels, their linen collection is not to be missed. I have two pieces from this collection. The European linen fitted tank fits just as expected. It is fitted so keep that in mind. I’m wearing a size XS and I have a small frame. I would suggest sizing up in this style if you have a larger bust. Although there is some smocking in the back, there is not too much give. The European linen pants on the other hand are very relaxed. I do love combining a fitted top with relaxed pants. It’s a great casual chic look. Overall I love the linen and will be adding more linen pieces to my collection.
How Does Quince Sizing Run?
Quince has a pretty good size range from XS to 3X. Sizing runs mainly true to size across the board. The sweaters run pretty true to size while the silk pieces are “just slightly” larger. Everything I have from them is size XS. The sweaters fit great with the fisherman sweater having a slightly more relaxed fit than the Mongolian cashmere crewneck sweater, which has a slimmer fit. The silk shirts are a little relaxed and roomy but I wouldn’t size down.
Quince Clothing Review
Whether you’re dressing up for a special occasion or seeking everyday elegance, Quince has the perfect pieces to elevate your style. For both the minimal lovers and maximalists, these silk and knit essentials will be your new go-to’s for stylish and sophisticated dressing. If I had to choose one favorite piece from Quince, it would be the cashmere crewneck sweaters. They are classic and really go with everything. A nice wardrobe essential!
