Mother’s Day in Maggy London

Mother’s Day is extra special to me since my twins were born right around that time. On my first Mother’s day, they were just days old. That first one was kind of a blur since I was sleep deprived, feeding two babies, changing two diapers. But it was special.  It’s the little moments that we spend together every day that are most cherished.  I still read them bed-time stories every night, we listen to music on Alexa after dinner (which means dancing too!), and we enjoy family board games.  Mother’s day is a celebration of all of those moments.

Brunch is a fan favorite in our house and Mother’s Day brunch has become a tradition over the last few years. It’s so fun to get dressed up just as the weather is starting to get warmer.  I’m not sure who enjoys brunch more, me or the kids.  But whether it’s a home cooked meal or going out to one of our favorite restaurants, we always celebrate together.

Coordinating our outfits

Coordinating looks with the kids is something I have been doing since they were babies.  It’s fun for me since I love styling outfits.  This year we are going out in our coordinated looks (and yes, my husband will be coordinated as well!). My inspiration was taken from this beautiful dress that was kindly gifted to me by Maggy London.  It’s the Cecilia Midi dress. It comes in Regular and Petite sizes.  I’m wearing the 0P for reference.  I love the flower details against the traditional seersucker print. This is so quintessentially Spring! The fresh bright blue and crisp white is so classic and reminiscent of something worn by Jackie O. I’m getting some style icon vibes in this dress!

My son is wearing this cute chambray shirt from Janie and Jack and these cotton pants from Gap.  My daughter is wearing this adorable seersucker dress from J. crew.  Both coordinate so well with my Maggy London Cecilia dress.  This look is also giving me some serious nautical vibes and would be great for a Memorial Day event!  I love re-wearing looks.  

Maggy London is such a go-to brand for classic American style. Their Spring collection is really amazing. They have some really beautiful floral prints such as this one that I’m eyeing.  Not only are they beautiful, but they are comfortable too.  That is so important in an occasion dress.  You should be enjoying whatever celebration you are at, and not worrying about your outfit.

Being a mom is the best gift I could every ask for.  It out ranks anything else. I wish all the moms out there a very Happy Mother’s day.
