Modatrova: Emerging Female Designers

Where do you go when you want to discover fashion’s best finds? The answer is Modatrova. Modatrova is an online destination that devotes its presence to emerging fashion brands. Specifically, female designers. This is where you go to to be the first to discover fashion’s up-and-coming stars.

It’s no secret that I love Christy Lynn clothing. There is evidence of that in my previous post introducing the brand, my timeless summer dresses post, and all over my instagram page. So Christy Lynn makes an appearance a few times in my curated shop. Her entire collection is feminine, effortless, and modern. Part memoir, part dreamscape is her motto, and when you see her clothes, you understand why. There is a nostalgic pull to her collection, while being very fresh and current. Christy Lynn collection is designed in Houston Texas and made in Brooklyn, NY.

Sold Out NYC

This chic company is made by women for women. Sold Out NYC pieces are made using high quality cotton and French Terry. So you know it’s comfortable! I love the minimalist styles that are so effortlessly casual. This is your elevated every day wear. A must for summer packing lists.

Cara Cara

Cara Cara has had my interest for a while now. The fun fruit and floral prints are so modern yet give a slight nod to vintage styles. Founded by three NYC friends, Cara Cara is what summer fun is all about! Wearing Cara Cara is like taking summer with you everywhere.

Onirik

Made with modern heirlooms in mind, Onirik’s limited collections are special pieces with a bespoke feel. They are meant to be worn, treasured, and carry you throughout your journey. Equal parts feminine, dreamy, and romantic. Part of the collection is made at a family-run atelier in Romania, and the other part made here in the USA in Virginia.

Factor Bermuda

Your ultra chic swimsuits made from UV 50+ fabric. Sustainably made from Italian lycra that was derived from rescued ocean plastics. Founder Melissa Leach was diagnosed with melanoma back in 2007 and couldn’t find a swimwear collection that suited her style. She started Factor Bermuda as a go-to destination for refined, elegant swimwear. Made in New York, Factor Bermuda is for the woman who appreciates high quality design and sustainability.

Female Designers: Accessories

Alepel

Alepel’s goal is to blend art with fashion. Literally. The company creates hand-painted leather goods unlike any other. Made in Brazil using high-quality materials and techniques, then finished off in Miami by local artists using their creativity to one of a kind pieces. The beautiful collection of mules and slides make a statement for sure!

QuayL Designs

Founded by entrepreneur Kate Fazio, this chic jewelry company has a design for everyone! Combining her degree in Art history, with love for fashion, Kate creates the perfect blend of classic yet modern pieces that you will wear for years to come! All QuayL pieces are designed in Houston, Texas.

J. Lowery

Founded by two friends who set out to create understated, effortless, and meaningful accessories. J. Lowery is a new on-my-radar brand when it comes to handbags. I love the simple yet beautiful designs, with just the right touch of detail. The collection spans your everyday to special occasion bags. There is a style and a color for everyone as well. And at a very fair price point. Made in the USA.

MME.Mink

MME.Mink is a must for the straw bag lovers! Named for “Many Individual Niceties we Keep”, MME.MINK is all about classic and enduring style.
