Marta Scarampi Elena Dress

One such brand, as you have heard me talk about before, is Marta Scarampi. Marta is based in her home town of Torino, Italy, where she designs and creates her beautiful collection by hand. Her talent for dress making is a true art.

My love for her collection lead me to a zoom call with Marta where we discussed the fit and fabrics of some her dresses. I was so pleased with fabric on the original Elena dress, that I asked about it being available in other colors. After exchanging several emails discussing color options, I was able to choose the color for this new offering of the favorite Elena dress. My dream has always been to design a small clothing line. And although I didn’t design this, I was able to choose a color and be a real part of the process. And that’s exciting!

So introducing the Marta Scarampi Elena dress in Navy. Navy is such a classic color that will never go out of style. It bridges the transition from Summer to Fall with ease. It’s universally flattering, feminine without being too girly, and a real classic!

Let’s talk about the fit. Since all Marta Scarampi pieces are hand-made in Italy, the attention to details is impeccable. Only the best Italian fabrics are used. The Elena dress is made from luxe Italian cotton poplin. There is just the right amount of structure to it so that it keeps its shape. With a high neck and covered buttons, the fit is tailored across the bust. Just above the natural waistline, the dress opens up to a roomy A-line drape. The tiered skirt adds subtle volume and gives a playful vibe. You will love the fit. It’s like each piece was made for you. (And it is!)

I take a size 0 in Marta’s dresses. The fit is actually perfect for me. If you are in-between sizes, I would suggest sizing up as this dress is very fitted across the bust.

How to Style the Marta Scarampi Elena Dress

The Elena dress can be styled multiple ways. Style it casually with slides and a straw bag. It’s perfect for summer days when you want to grab a coffee at a local cafe or strolling the Farmer’s market. You can also dress this up with heels and a clutch bag for evenings out.

Dress it up with a straw hat and some heels for a bridal shower or brunch. You can add some pearls for an enhanced girly effect. This look gives me Audrey Hepburn vibes! This dress also transitions well into Fall. Try it on cooler Fall days by wearing it with loafers and a long cardigan.
