Charlotte Brody: NYC Made Clothing

Discovering new-to-me brands is exciting, especially when they blend so seamlessly with my own style. I recently discovered the New York brand Charlotte Brody on instagram. What immediately drew me in was their elevated, feminine, yet carefree styles. They sit right on the lines of dressy and whimsical, and cross ever-so slightly into both worlds.

Charlotte Brody is a brand that you can wear from work meetings to school pick-ups and everything in between. I love pairing a pretty top with jeans for a polished everyday look. You will also find beautiful dresses to wear to more formal events in your life. It is truly a lifestyle brand. One that I’m completely charmed with.

Charlotte Brody is the namesake of the founder, Jennifer Argenti’s, grandmother. I can relate since my own grandmother loved fashion. She always had her lipstick on, hair done, and always dressed as if she were going somewhere. She is still an inspiration to me today. Charlotte Brody is not only remembered for her meticulous sense of style though, but also her love of nature and her organic garden. Taking inspiration from nature and the beloved gardens of Charlotte Brody, is the top I am wearing. Rightly called the butterfly blouse, this beautiful detailing is reminiscent of a butterfly’s delicate wings. Not only are the sleeves a main attraction but the intricate detail of the print is just as eye-catching.

Today I’ve paired this top with linen pants for a casual Spring look. However, I have also worn this with jeans and it instantly elevates the look. The keyhole neck adds a playful touch while the deep blue florals inspires a whimsy natural vibe.

I have to say, I do invest in a lot of high-quality clothing. I am so blown away by the quality and details of this blouse! Many silk tops are very sheer and don’t always lay on the body in a flattering way. This top however, is one of the best!
