I’m still a huge fan of high waisted shorts. Never mind that low rise is back in style. High waisted shorts and pants will always be flattering, slimming to the waist, and classy. While I tend to prefer dresses in the summer, mainly because they are easy and a bit longer than most shorts are, I’m reaching for more shorts this season. Linen is my favorite summer fabric! It’s breathable and does not stick to you in the humid summer heat. The downside to linen fabric is that it wrinkles really easy. You can sit down in a pair of linen shorts for 2 minutes and get up with rows of lines in your shorts. The beauty of it is that if you are “in the know”, then you know it’s linen, and not that you don’t own an iron! But a lot of people shy away from linen because of this. I don’t worry too much about it. However, I’m really liking linen blends more and more. The addition of another fabric really dials down the wrinkle factor.
