Ba&sh paris Hella dress review

Ba&sh Paris Clothing

In a quest for timeless, effortless, and feminine (but not too girly clothing), I’m re-discovering Ba&sh Paris this season. This French clothing brand is known for their effortless and slightly edgy Parisian style. I especially enjoy their Fall collections as they are a bit moodier in colors and prints. Today I’m sharing a review of Ba&sh Paris and two of their key pieces this season.

Ba&sh Paris Clothing

Ba&sh is a play on the founders names- Barbara and Sharon. Long time friends wanted to create a dream wardrobe collection, and Ba&sh was born! Inspiration comes from daily life, travel, art, and film. After reading an interview on the duo, I was so impressed to hear about their “creative retreat”, where the design team gets together at their home in Ibiza to create the new collections. I do believe that creativity comes from so many places, and the fact that Ba&sh promotes this creative process is another reason why I love the brand. And why their designs are so unique!

French Style Clothing

Ba&sh Paris covers all of your wardrobe needs. From dresses, to skirts, sweaters, pants, and even accessories like shoes, belts, and bags! You can get a complete French style outfit. The overall vibe is cool girl chic. Nothing is too girly or too feminine, but a bit of edginess done in a classic way.

As a fan of Ba&sh over the years, I think their strong point is their dresses. Each collection has a number of mini, midi, and maxi length dresses that can take you from dinner to weddings. Their versatile style makes them a go-to brand when I’m looking for a new dress, no matter the occasion.

In addition to dresses, Ba&sh sweaters are always in high demand. Known for their mainly oversized fit, their collection of chunky sweaters is the perfect pairing for your midi skirts. This year, the Lady Jacket has taken over the fashion scene. So many brands have their own iteration of the trend and Ba&sh Paris is one of my favorites.

Ba&sh Clothing Quality

The quality of Ba&sh clothing is pretty high. And I do think that the price tag shows it. When compared to my favorite French brand Sezane, Ba&sh pricing runs much higher. The quality between Ba&sh and Sezane is both really good, as both brands are very well made. However overall Ba&sh pricing is higher and can be compared to the other French brand Maje, which is the sister brand to the even higher price-point Sandro Paris brand. All four of these brands are where you need to go for a French style wardrobe. Sezane is more classic and timeless, where Ba&sh is a bit more modern boho. Maje and Sandro are a bit more edgy and bold in their patterns and colors.

Ba&sh Gaspard Cardigan Review

Ba&sh Paris Clothing cardigan

Bash Paris lady jacket

The Gaspard cardigan is a best-seller! This sweater sold-out so quick last year. It is the epitome of chic Parisian style. The gold buttons and shorter length give this a very tailored look. I love the new olive color for the cooler season ahead. Olive is a great neutral! Made from 75% cotton, 25% polyamide, this cardigan is super soft and nice against the skin. It is not itchy at all!

This structured style lends itself to be worn open or closed. The shoulder pads help keep the shape without adding extra bulk. Wear the Gaspard cardigan closed as your sweater for the day, leave it open as your jacket, or wear it over the shoulders as your third styling piece.

Gaspard cardigan sizing fit very true to size. Unlike most Ba&sh sweaters which fit oversized, this cardigan runs true to size but slightly on the smaller side. I’m wearing a size XS and as you can see, the fit is perfect. I can still wear even a long sleeve shirt underneath, but if I want to wear a sweater, I would size up. For me though, I like the tailored look and will stick to light tops underneath in true Lady jacket fashion. A wardrobe must-have for Fall!

How to wear loafers with a dress

Dresses are where the brand really stands out in my opinion. If I have an upcoming dinner, or other event where I want to wear a dress I know I will feel good in, Ba&sh is one of the first places I look. I’ve had some of my Ba&sh dresses for years and they are never out of fashion.

As a blue and white lover, this Hella dress is hella good! I love that their mini dresses are never too short but are just the right length. I’m wearing this one casually with the loafers of the season for daytime wear, but just add boots or pumps for a quick nighttime look. This dress style runs true to size. I’m wearing a size XS. I find that the button up style dresses run more true to size them their v-neck styles which are slightly larger. I usually opt to wear a cami under those. Style this with boots, heels, sneakers, or classic ballet flats.
