Ballard Designs Counter Stool Review

Ballard Designs is a popular classic home decor brand. It’s also one of my go-to brands when I’m looking to upgrade my home decor. When updating our kitchen, finding comfortable and stylish counter stools were at the top of my list. Choosing the right kitchen counter stools can change the whole look of your kitchen. The Ballard Designs Bailey Woven counter stools were our top choice when looking for stools and we couldn’t be happier. Today I’m sharing my review of why we love them and how they really elevate our dining space.

Woven Fibers

Woven fibers add a casual chic vibe to your home. The Ballard Designs Bailey woven counter stools are made with a washed grey resin wicker. The grey tone is so subtle, and just adds more depth to the stools. Some wicker and rattan fibers can have a very yellow tone to them, but these do not have that. Overall it gives a relaxed and elegant look to your kitchen. An almost sun-washed look. In addition to that, the box weave pattern adds a modern classic flare to your home.

Arm Rests

When deciding on which counter stools to get, arm rests were an important factor. Although the arm rests are low profile, they add to the coziness of the chairs. The stools are generously sized (37 1/2″H X 22″W X 27″D) so no need to worry about the arm rests interfering with comfort. They are very comfortable and sturdy. The arm height is about 30″ from the floor. You can comfortably sit back with your arms resting on the arm rests.

Counter Stool Foot Rests

In addition to the generous seat sizing, the Ballard Designs Bailey woven counter stools have foot rests in a gunmetal finish that almost looks black. It ties in nicely if you have a gas stove top or other black kitchen accessories. Note that I use these chair leg protectors to help protect my hardwood floors from scuffing. The 0.5-0.8″ pack fits the Bailey woven kitchen counter stools perfectly.

Interchangeable Seat Cushions

The Ballard Designs Bailey woven counter stools come with tufted seat cushions for added comfort. You can also purchase replacement cushions for a very reasonable price if needed in the future. I do love that feature, especially with kids!

Ballard Designs Counter Stools are Comfortable

Most importantly, the Ballard Designs Bailey woven counter stools are comfortable! I have to admit, the Serena & Lily Balboa rattan counter stools were a top contender for my kitchen upgrade. Aesthetic wise they are gorgeous! I really love the look of these stools but didn’t love the price. When it came down to it, I chose the Bailey woven counter stools for their comfort, style, and reasonable price.

Is Ballard Designs Good Quality?

Yes, Ballard Designs is a go-to source of mine when looking for high-quality furniture and home decor items. Their pieces are well made while maintaining a moderate price. The design aesthetic suits those who love classic and traditional home decor, with a modern twist.

Other Counter Stool Options

Ballard Designs also has other beautiful counter stools to consider. If you love the look of natural fibers, the Anna Cane Back counter stools are also a great option. There are no replacement cushions available with this option however a performance fabric is used. If you prefer a more sleek and modern look, the Allister stools are gorgeous with their matte antique brass finish.
