The white shirt. There doesn’t have to be anything basic about it. The white shirt is your closet staple and can take you anywhere from work to play. Having a nice white shirt can save you tons of time when you are figuring out what to wear.
A classic button-down will work with jeans, a skirt, or any color of pants you can think of! It can be dressed up or down. Worn under a colorful blazer is always a chic idea. The options are endless. I love to pair a short sleeve white button down with midi skirts in the Spring. Poplin or cotton blends are always a good choice.
Since I do love details in my clothes, I made it my mission to find a not-so-basic white shirt. As soon as I saw this top from & Other Stories I jumped on it. I was immediately attracted to the eyelet detail on the sleeves. The front tie also adds just the right amount of texture. This is quickly becoming a go-to store for me. Their prices are reasonable and they always have a smart selection of styles available. I paired this top with my Veronica Beard flares jeans which I am loving right now. It’s such a classic look that suits any style.
I chose to wear these white lace-up boots since I am still going strong with the white boot trend. I think this look would also be really amazing with a pair of cowboy boots such as these. They are very on-trend for 2019.
What look wouldn’t be complete without the perfect bag? I kept with the neutral theme and chose to use my new Chloe C bag in the shade called Nut. I love the faux croc which again adds that small but impactful detail that I love. Faux crocodile is another big trend to follow this year! What’s great about a white shirt though is that any color bag would look great. It’s a great opportunity to try the neon trend if you are bold!
