Sezane and new friends…

The Sezane apartment in New York City sets the scene for a first meeting with one of my Instagram friends. One of the aspects of blogging I love best is meeting people with similar interests.  When I first started this blogging journey, the road seemed very lonely.  Instagram (IG) makes networking very easy.  You can find and follow those with similar interests or styles and develop a relationship by commenting on posts.  But because IG is global, it is rare that you actually get to meet these people who become your friends.

Well, I did recently get a chance to meet one of my IG friends, Laura from @abouttheoutfits.  I’ve been following Laura since the beginning of my journey when I only had 200 followers.  She’s a New York City mom who used to practice law but is now home with her girls and running her own blog.  Laura’s style is so similar to mine and we connected right away.  We are both mom’s of 2, we love our florals, and have a soft spot for feminine bags.  Just to name a few…

When we decided to meet up in New York city and do a little shopping together, I knew it would feel like old friends.  We chose Sezane because of their ultra feminine yet effortless chic style. This French line is perfect for weekend brunch, mid-week lunch, after work drinks, dinner with your special someone, family events, you name it.  Easily transferable outfits to suit many occasions. Sezane is more than just a fashion brand, it is a lifestyle brand with a sweet story.

The Sezane founder, Morgane Sezalory, used to find and sell vintage clothing on Ebay. Her knack for taking beautiful pictures and putting together one-of-a-kind finds, led to her now highly coveted French lifestyle brand. You can still see the hint of vintage inspiration weaved throughout her collections. If you are a capsule wardrobe fan, you will love how Sezane uses the same fabrics and complimentary colors in each collection. See how Laura and I have matching floral prints, mine being in the form of a blouse, and hers as a skirt. In fact, just about everything in the collection can be paired with each other. It a true mix and match type of experience.

To be honest, it was hard not to buy the whole store. This is a brand that really resonates with me. It is not too often that I like everything a brand has to offer. But Sezane is that brand (read my full review on the brand here). Not only do they have beautiful high-quality clothes, but they also have shoes, amazing bags, belts, and jewelry!  And most important of all is their price point. Sezane has a very reasonable prices.

Sezane was the perfect setting for a meet-up as the store itself is designed to feel as a Paris apartment.  It’s bright white walls, velvet sofas, gilded mirrors, and marble fireplace, adds a warm welcoming feel.  It’s the type of store you never want to leave, but just take a seat on the couch, chat, and have a few of the offered french cookies.  Au revoir! xx
