Wedding Guest Attire

It’s that time of year when the invitations are coming in. Wedding season is in full swing! That begs the question of- what do I wear? The options are endless. Dresses, jumpsuits, and skirts are all acceptable options. Depending on the formality of the event, each can be dressed up or down to suit any occasion. I personally love the idea of a skirt for a fun and playful alternative to a dress. Especially if you have multiple events to attend. A skirt is hands down the most versatile of the options. By changing the top and accessories, you can create entirely different outfits.

This gorgeous skirt from Alice and Olivia had me at “hello”. Just look at all the vibrant flowers throughout. There are so many options here as to which color to use as your main color. Here I chose to bring out the bright red with this cold-shoulder top from Ted Baker. It’s the perfect match. You would think it’s from the same collection. I love mixing designers and creating seamless looks.

Since I’m drawn to contrasting colors, I chose to use my blue Cult Gaia clutch to add additional interest to the outfit. Red and blue are opposite on the color wheel and provide a visual pop when paired together. My nude Dior pumps keep the eye on the skirt and do not take away from the color palette I’ve chosen to highlight. If this look seems too bright for you, try using a white top paired with colorful pumps. That will tone down the overall look to the outfit and lend a quieter feel.
