The Allure of Zimmermann

Zimmermann. The name hardly needs an introduction. This Australian brand has been gained speed among fashionista’s for the last several years. The aesthetic is sophisticated feminine with a playful feel. Along with swimwear, the ready-to-wear collections feature a lot of florals and light flowing fabrics.

I have been a fan of Zimmermann for quite some time now. After seeing this gorgeous pair of linen pants on sale, I finally made the jump and bought my first Zimmermann item. Upon opening the package, I had an immediate smile on my face. These pants have everything ticked off my “must” list for good quality pants.

First, they are linen. I love a good linen pant. They are actually quite hard to find. The weight of these are perfect, they have enough weight so that they are not see through, however are still light and airy. Linen is typically a summer fabric. However I see these pants easily being carried through the Fall just based on the color palette alone.

Second, speaking of color palette, the print is so classic yet modern. I love the vintage feel of the florals with the very modern color mix. The colors are very reminiscent of Fall with the orange and khaki greens. I will pair this with a chunky ivory sweater or maybe even a green blazer. Pumpkin picking anyone? There are so many outfit options you can create with these pants. I know that I will be using them over and over again. Cost per wear ladies!

And last, let’s talk about the matching belt. How cute is it? It adds a polished finish to the pants. Plus, you can remove it and use it with another outfit. Points to Zimmermann for versatility!

As much as I love these pants and am excited to try another Zimmermann item, I must say that sizing can be improved. They run huge! For example, Australian size 0 is equivalent to US size 4. Well I’m normally a US size 0 so there really aren’t any options for me. I decided to just go for it and place the order and see what happens. Normally I would have returned them, but I was too in love with them to part. The quality and design are top notch. And like I said earlier, good printed linen pants are hard to come by. I did have them taken in at the waist and hips quite a bit. Surprisingly the length was fine for me (I am 5′ 2″).

It is easy to she why Zimmermann has become such a household name among the fashion world. The dreamy prints, airy fabrics, and playful lines make their collections lust worthy. If you are looking for a statement making item, think Zimmerman.
