Whether you’re heading to a fancy event or a casual party, lace tops are an ideal way to make your outfit pop. Dress them up with pants or a skirt, or wear with jeans for a more casual look (my favorite way to wear lace!). I love mixing dressier fabrics for more casual looks. I’m not a very casual dresser overall. My kind of casual is a little bit more polished and elevated. I love how a lace top adds a touch of elegance to a pair of jeans. It’s the contrast of dressy and casual that I really love. It’s truly effortless and always a great outfit choice! A perfect outfit for a casual dinner.

This black lace top runs true to size. If you are in-between sizes then size down for a more tailored fit.

 

Lace Top and Trousers

For a perfectly polished look, try wearing a lace top with a pair of pants. When wearing a colored lace top like this one, I like wearing a nude camisole underneath. Especially if it is for a daytime look. This is a great brunch outfit when you want to be a little bit dressy but not overly so. This lace top runs true to size however if you are in-between sizes, size down in this style so there is no extra fabric bulk.

I think a lace top with shorts is such a chic summer look! It’s casual but also elegant. Plus you can wear this to so many events. Try wearing this with flat sandals or ballet flats for a summer day of shopping and lunch. Add some block heels for a summer party or informal dinner date. Whether you choose to keep the look all monochrome, or not, a black lace top is a great choice for pairing with pants. The options are endless but my favorite black lace top outfits are with camel pants, white pants, gray pants, and even pink pants! It’s a great versatile choice for night time looks!

I love how a lace top can add such a feminine touch to outfits. Try wearing a white lace top with neutral pants to the office. Just add a white camisole underneath. Depending on the season and the length of your pants, you can really wear any shoes with this look. It’s easy and versatile enough to carry through so many different occasions. This is one of my go-to looks!

What to Wear Under Lace Tops

If you are going for a sexy night time look, having your bra peek through a lace top is perfectly acceptable. However if you want to be more conservative, wearing a camisole under a lace top is best. It gives you adequate coverage while being comfortable. I like wearing a skin colored camisole with any color lace top. A nude or black camisole is great under  black lace top. And a skin colored or white camisole is best under a white lace top for a seamless look.
