Not that whisper-thin cashmere that pills immediately; there’s actual heft to these sweaters. It’s petite-friendly with a shorter but not cropped length. Enough for a French-tuck.

Mini Marin (Cotton)

The Mini Marin is La Ligne’s classic cotton striped sweater and the one that made me fall in love with the brand. It has that perfect mid-weight feel. It’s structured enough to hold its shape, but still soft and relaxed once it breaks in. The stripes feel timeless without being too traditional.

Fit-wise, it runs slightly relaxed in the body with sleeves that are a touch long on petites (I’m 5’2″) but still very wearable. I take my true size (I actually own it both XXS and XS; there’s not much difference but I prefer it in XS).

This is the style I’d choose if you want something everyday-friendly, and easy to wear year-round.

Mini Marina Cardigan (Cotton)

The Mini Marina is the cardigan version of the Mini Marin, with the same cotton weight and feel. It has a more polished, structured look than a typical cardigan. It can work beautifully as that in-between layer when you don’t want to wear a jacket.

Fit-wise, it runs true to size. On petites, the length hits at the waist and layers well without feeling bulky. This is the style I’d choose if you want a versatile cardigan that feels elevated and pulls outfits together effortlessly.

Cotton Options:

Mini Marin (Cashmere Blend)

This was my first cashmere La Ligne piece, and it’s what convinced me that sometimes the fabric upgrade is worth it. This has the same fit as the cotton version, but with a ribbed collar, rather than a roll-neck. The cashmere-blend Mini Marin feels like the cotton version’s more luxurious sibling. It’s noticeably warmer and feels more refined.

Fit-wise, it has the same fit as the cotton, true to size. It falls perfectly at the hip on petites (no tucking required).

This is the style I’d choose if you want the Mini Marin look but with a softer feel and a more elevated finish.

Note: There is the Mini Marin and the Marin sweaters. The difference is in the length. If you prefer a longer length or to tuck your sweaters, go with the Marin.

Mini Toujours (Cashmere)

The Mini Toujours is La Ligne’s relaxed 100% cashmere option and has a softer, easier drape compared to the Mini Marin. It feels plush right away, with a slightly wider neckline and a more laid-back fit that still looks refined.

Fit-wise, this style is meant to be a little slouchy. If you prefer a closer fit, you can size down; otherwise, take your usual size. The length tends to hit at a flattering spot on petites without feeling too long or overwhelming. I wear it in size XXS.

The closet lower priced alternative would be the cashmere fisherman sweater from Quince which has a longer length.

This is the style I’d choose if you want something luxuriously soft and polished, but still easy enough to wear with jeans, trousers, or layered under a coat. Looks great with a French tuck.
