Pink fur trend NYC street style

Bergdorf Goodman holiday windows are a must-see! The holiday window displays in New York City are some of the most anticipated of the year! Equally gorgeous and creative displays are always a guarantee. Wandering the streets and admiring the windows is a fun holiday activity that doesn’t cost you a dime. The theme this year at Bergdorf Goodman is #Bergdorfgoodies which features sweet treats and cotton candy statues. This pink candy colored theme was my favorite!

Funny thing about this post. My friend Laura and I wanted to do a really fun and glamorous holiday look. We planned our coordinated pink fur outfits weeks before the Bergdorf Goodman holiday windows were unveiled. Little did we know, we matched one of the windows! Bergdorf- just leave the holiday window design to us next year! 🙂

Feeling like we stepped out of the window, Laura and I had fun in our candy colored outfits. You might be thinking- “pink in winter”? Oh yes! Pink in winter. How fun to take a traditionally summer color and throw it into the sea of dark coats. I love mixing shades of pink too. Layering different tones of the same color adds a richness to any look. Plus the texture and softness of the adds dimension.

After having our 15 minutes of fame (so many people stopped to take our picture by the window), we did a little holiday shopping and browsed the beautiful handbag collections inside Bergdorf Goodman. I found at least two that are on my 2019 wish list!

Ladies Who Lunch

Not only is the shopping at Bergdorf Goodman a luxury lover’s dream, but the restaurant on the 7th floor is also amazing. It’s actually one of my top favorite lunch spots in the city. But don’t forget to make a reservation! We did not make one, and there was an hour wait. However, we winded up going to the downstairs cafe instead. In fact, the menu has some similar items on it but in a more casual atmosphere. The decor itself is worth seeing with it’s sequins backed chairs and glittered art on the walls. We ended up having an amazing meal. It pays to be spontaneous sometimes!

In conclusion, if you are planning a holiday trip to New York City, don’t forget to add the 5th Avenue departments store windows to your agenda. It’s sure to be a lot of fun. The creativity and work that goes into the designs are inspirational. Plus, I can’t think of a better way to inspire some window shopping.
