Destination Wedding Dress in Cult Gaia

Cult Gaia has the most perfect destination wedding guest dresses. Destination weddings are always so dreamy to me. The thought of a beautiful event at an exotic place is exciting. What to wear to a destination wedding also makes my imagination soar. I think of very romantic and feminine pieces with lots of florals. This dress from has all of those vibes and more. A true heirloom item.

Did you ever have a piece of clothing that transports you to another place? One that you immediately feel connected with and also feel soulful? Cult Gaia does that for me. Their bags have reached real cult status and I believe their clothing line will be next.

The name Cult Gaia, comes from the word cult, uniting like-minded individuals in their ideals, and Gaia, being the goddess of Mother Earth and the daughter of chaos. I think the name fits the aesthetic perfectly. The pieces are like works of art. They create a magical feeling. For me, it’s a feeling of peace and contentment. It sounds silly that a piece of clothing can do that for someone. But that is what art is about.  It’s about how it makes you feel. Everyone will be moved in their own way.

The cult status bags

Although I have been admiring Cult Gaia’s clothes for a while now, I do own three of their bags already. I have this clutch in both the acrylic and linen, and this beaded clutch which I love for so many occasions. I also have a few of their older Ark bags. The latest addition is this gorgeous made of 100% bamboo beads (similar here). I love the natural color and materials used. It is harmonious with the mother nature theme and perfect for a destination event.  It’s small enough for a formal night while also casual enough for day time use. Plus it’s sturdy. The interior of the bag is lined with an attached pouch. So no worries of anything slipping out like with their ark bags. And by the way, for the ark bags, a pouch like from Target is great to keep things secure and organized.

Cult Gaia: Destination Wedding Guest Clothing

This dress was my first clothing purchase from the brand.  I was immediately in awe when I opened the box. This light linen fabric is my favorite fabric for summer. And the dainty muted yellow, white, and green florals in the fabric is subtle but stunning. I felt like I should be sipping a drink on a terrace in the French Riviera wearing this dress! But really, this dress is exactly what I would think of if I was invited to a destination wedding.

The linen makes it more casual and day-time appropriate, while the cut and silhouette make it equally fitting for a more formal event. This makes it really versatile for any type of dressier summer event whether it is a destination wedding, vacation, or even a backyard party. I kept my look a little more casual with my sandals. The wood tone heel is the perfect complement to the bamboo beads in the bag.

This dress really has me hooked and I am interested in seeing what else Cult Gaia does. I do tend to think of Cult Gaia as a summer brand, however I am excited to see what they do for the Fall!
